Could you imagine if you walked into your home and found someone you didn’t know sitting on your couch? I mean, I can, because I’ve read the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. But still, it would be super bizarre to have a random stranger waiting for you when you come downstairs. And even more bizarre when you find out the person was let into the house. A teen went viral after discovering that his dad let someone into their home. While his dad had the best of intentions, the boy was shocked at the discovery.
TikToker Kieran Smith Taylor was awoken to find a completely bizarre situation unfolding.
“I was just lying in bed and my dad comes into my room,” he said in the video. His dad told him there was “a girl downstairs,” which was confusing for the teen because his dad didn’t give him any additional information about who the girl was.
Of course, Taylor asked his dad who the girl was. The funny part? His dad didn’t know either. All he knew was that she had red hair.
The story only gets more bizarre.
According to the teen’s dad, the random stranger walked into their home on her own and sat down on the couch.
Taylor’s dad immediately went upstairs to get him because he needed to see it himself. The teen knew how awkward the situation was going to be before he even got down the stairs.
“I walk downstairs,” he said. “She looks at me and she goes, I’m in the wrong house.”

That changed pretty much everything.
Things started to click into place after the girl’s realization. It didn’t make the situation less awkward, just more enlightening. Taylor asked her who she was looking for in the hopes that he could help her find them.
“I’m looking for Jake,” she said. Jake is Taylor’s next door neighbor, he told her. Once that misunderstanding was sorted out, she made a quick exit from the home.
People couldn’t get enough of the random stranger encounter.
“No because why did your dad just let her in,” one person wrote. “She’s gonna have sleepless nights about that one,” someone else commented.
Apparently, this is a thing that happens to people. “I have done this 🤣I literally let myself into what I thought what was my friends house and started talking to people in the kitchen asking where she was,” one person recalled.
“I live in a flat and didn’t lock my door and some man walked in with bacon in his hand 😂 I was like erm you alright and the man’s face he was mortified he was going to his mates who lives upstairs and got the flat number wrong,” another commenter wrote.
