Serena Williams made quite an impression on the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala on Monday night … and not just because of her outfit. Serena surprised fans with a baby bump, revealing that she and husband Alexis Ohanian are expecting their second child.

Serena made quite the baby announcement
In fact, she let her bump speak for itself on the red carpet, and according to Page Six, she even joked about how she wasn't planning to drink at the event that night.
"I’m feeling good. I can breathe. I can stop hiding," she said.
She also shared the big news on Instagram
Serena shared a photo of her and Alexis all dressed up, along with some solo pictures where she was cradling her bump.
"Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala," she wrote in her caption.
That baby is still in the womb, and is already getting invited to fancier parties than most of us can ever hope to attend!
Alexis shared his thoughts on Twitter
Alexis shared photos of him and Serena from the event, including a shot of his bracelet that said "papa."
"Mama & Papa love this parenting-thing, so we're back at it and @olympiaohanian is gonna be the best Big Sister — she's been asking & praying for this for a minute," he wrote.

Alexis and Serena are already parents to one daughter
Their little girl, Olympia, is now 5 years old, and we're sure she's excited to welcome a brother or sister into their family.
