Lea's son was first hospitalized in March
In a post she shared on her Instagram Stories, Lea shared that her 2-year-old son, Ever, had been hospitalized for what she called a "scary health issue," which meant that she wouldn't be able to appear in Funny Girl on Broadway that night.
She didn't share many details at the time, but she did ask for her fans to send her "love and strength."
That wasn't Ever's only hospitalization
In early April, Lea took to Instagram all over again to share that Ever had to be hospitalized all over again.
"Today was a hard day. As parents, we have to be strong for our kids. But sometimes you just want to break down and cry," Lea said at the time. "As an aside," she noted, "hidden in the bathroom or closet is usually best. (Today I chose hospital bathroom.)"
Now Lea is sharing an update
Talking to People at the Time 100 Gala on Wednesday, she was able to share a positive update on Ever's journey.
"Ever's doing good. He's doing well," she said. "We still have a little bit of a long road ahead of us here, but he's doing well, thank God, and healthy."

She's been receiving "amazing support"
She went on to say that her family members and the Funny Girl cast have been offering her so much support during this tough time, and that her husband had been "wonderful" through it all.
"I'm so happy to be here and honored more than anything," she said.
Here's hoping Ever is feeling better ASAP
Though Lea has kept whatever health struggle Ever is going through as private as possible, it does sound like he's on the mend and recovering. We're sending her family all of the healthy and healing vibes. Hopefully, Ever will be back to his old self soon!
