The only thing worse for a “looksmaxer” than not being able to display God-tier good looks is to be exposed for totally faking one key component in what the subculture sees as attractive: hair. There’s a certain look that adolescent and young adult males have with strategically messy hair, and one influencer who fakes that hairstyle with a wig attached to a hat was wildly exposed in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter).
For those who don’t know, looksmaxxing is all about focusing on physical attractiveness. For guys, it might be trying to achieve the perfect athletic body and a chiseled jawline. For ladies, it could be a conventionally attractive ‘gym bod’ with perfect hair and facial features. It’s a whole thing, and it is entirely problematic. So when someone exposed a looksmaxxer on X, it was a way to take the influencer down a few pegs.

For ‘looksmaxxers’ it’s not a good look…literally.
In the X post, the user wrote, in true looksmaxxer terminology, that the influencer who gets his wig hat ripped off of him is a “fraudmaxxer” with “generational aura loss.” In the video, the influencer is talking to someone when another guy comes up behind him and carefully rips the wig hat off of him. The influencer, who actually has a totally shaved head, runs after him, and it’s unclear how he could ever live this down.
Later, the influencer was identified as Androgenic, an influencer known for — what else — looksmaxxing. He posted on X in response to the video, “You fell for a clip farm. I’ve been posting myself bald for the past 7 weeks and started publicly using a wig 3 days ago.” According to him, he had a hair transplant, so real hair is forthcoming.
But for the supposed number one Chad on the internet, having his wig literally snatched off is not a good look. It had to hurt his pride just a little, and people didn’t hold back in coming for the influencer after his hair, or lack thereof, was exposed.

People were quick to make fun of the influencer afterward with very little sympathy for him.
After the video was posted, exposing Androgenic getting his wig snatched off and depleting his aura, users responded to the video on X with jokes about the influencer.
“There’s genuinely no coming back from this,” one user wrote about the X post.
“Shapeshiftmaxxing,” another wrote, in reference to Androgenic looking pretty different in the face too once he turns to run after the wig snatcher. “Doesn’t even look like the same guy.”
Because of that, others speculated that he used some sort of filter on the video that shifted once he moved. Yikes.
“This guy literally would have had more ‘aura’ had he just been walking around big and tough and bald, rather than sporting his bob and hairpiece,” someone else speculated.
This guy is known for looksmaxxing and being the ultimate Chad, which is the top of the pyramid as far as perfect male features go, according to this strange internet culture among some users. So for him to get exposed like that means he may not be able to recover socially.
