The world learned that Serena Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian are expecting another child when the couple took to the red (well, champagne) carpet at the 2023 Met Gala on May 1. Now fans will soon have a chance to find out exactly how they broke the happy news to their daughter, Olympia, thanks to a behind-the-scenes video coming to Serena’s YouTube channel.

The tennis legend posted a teaser clip of the full video
She shared a tiny preview of the video where she let Olympia in on the happy news on both Instagram and YouTube. In the 22-second clip, Serena can be seen getting ready for the Met Gala as she explains to the camera that she had been keeping her pregnancy a secret from her daughter.

The 41-year-old made headlines when she showed up pregnant to the glitzy fashion event. She addressed the elephant in the room via a voiceover in the clip. “Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant, so the big reveal will be at the Met, and then before we leave, I’ll tell Olympia,” Serena confided.

Anyone who has ever been around a 5-year-old likely knew what Serena was going to say before she even said it. “The reason I haven’t told her is because she can’t keep a secret,” she confessed.
We’re not the slightest bit surprised by that news, and it actually makes total sense as to why Serena would wait until right before the rest of the world found out.

Hilariously, someone else predicted what Olympia’s first stop would have been after learning she’s going to be a big sister. “Her pre-K teacher would have been the first to know,” they commented.
