Both of my kids love to create art and one of their favorite brands of art supplies is POSCA. I cannot even tell you how many times my daughter’s hair has ended up in a matted, knotted mess that takes an hour to detangle after swimming or a sweaty hike. I would never keep her from doing fun, active things outdoors because of hair, but it really is a pain in the butt to deal with. My 10-year-old is obsessed with sensory toys. Like lots of kids her age in 2026, she has a thing for squishies and slime, so when I saw these cool, mess-free sensory cubes called StickiKubes, I knew she would be into them. Little did I know that our entire family would love them. Even my 13-year-old son got in on the StickiKubes fun. They are teeny, tiny stacking cubes that stick together to create 2D and 3D designs and objects. They are non-toxic and can literally stick to anything, so there are endless building options. Not only that, but they are washable and will not leave the dreaded slime on any furniture or clothing, and there’s no risk of exploding goo either. Just keep in mind they are tiny, so could be a choking hazard for very young children. The recommended age is 4+.
