There’s a ‘Little Mermaid’–Themed House Available to Rent and We’re Kinda Geeking Out

Now that the live-action version of The Little Mermaid has finally hit theaters, a whole new generation of kids is falling in love with the Disney classic. It's also bringing back some major nostalgia for millennials and Gen X parents who can still remember growing up with the 1989 animated version.

That's why we think Booking.com's newest vacation experience will have both parents and kids pretty excited. Soon, three lucky families will have the chance to stay in a Malibu beach house that's been completely decked out with an "Under the Sea" theme!

It's being called "Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' Experience"

It's all part of a new partnership between Booking.com and Disney, which has dreamed up as a fun way to celebrate the recent release of the new film.

And so far, it looks (and sounds) pretty awesome …

According to a press release, each "Insta-worthy" room is inspired by a different iconic character from the movie, including Ariel, King Triton, and Prince Eric.

There's even a room inspired by the always-terrifying Ursula, played by Booking.com spokesperson Melissa McCarthy.

"If someone told me I could stay in a Malibu beach house inspired by The Little Mermaid, I would pack my bags and move in tomorrow," the actress said after recently hearing about the exciting vacation experience.

But that's not all ...

Guests will also enjoy a private dinner in the home prepared by a personal chef, as well as a screening of the new Little Mermaid movie at a nearby theater.

How cool is that?

"Booking.com is committed to making it easier for everyone to experience the world, which is why this collaboration with Disney was a perfect fit," said Arjan Dijk, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Booking.com. "Collaborating with Disney to celebrate the iconic film, The Little Mermaid, and making the premise of exploring the world from the film a reality through bookable travel experiences – from beach homes and family-friendly hotels to lighthouses, boats and castles – is something we’re excited to share with Disney fans and travelers alike looking for a little magic and inspiration this summer season."

"Disney’s The Little Mermaid kicks off the summer by taking global audiences under the sea for a stunning cinematic event only in theaters, May 26th," added Lylle Breier, SVP Global Marketing Partnerships, Promotions, Synergy & Special Events at Disney. "We couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with Booking.com and bring this film to life for fans through unique and fun travel experiences."

Thanks to the home's unique decor, there are lots of cool photo opportunities

Like this sweet bench that sits under a floral arch, which is practically begging for Prince Eric to sit down with his Ariel and "Kiss the Girl."

And how could you not want to sit and pose in this gorgeous kitchen that comes with seashell-inspired dining chairs and a beautiful harp like the one Ariel plays?

The house itself is located along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California

While there, guests can enjoy lots of nearby hotspots, like Tuna Canyon, the Venice Beach Boardwalk, and even the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium if they want to continue the sea theme.

But the perks of the actual beach house are pretty hard to beat. Not only is it situated right on the beach with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, but there's also a hot tub and lounge chairs on the back deck that'll probably make you never want to leave.

Unfortunately, guests are limited to just one overnight stay for each party

According to Booking.com, the three separate overnight stays will become bookable on June 7 at noon ET and will take place soon after on June 9, 10 and 11.

Each experience will also include flights and airport transfers available through Booking.com, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The best part? It'll cost just $5.26 — in honor of May 26, the day the film was released in theaters.
