There are some memories and milestones that your kid will reach that will shock you, and some that will leave you in a puddle of happy tears. One mom on TikTok shared a video of her toddler dancing to music for the first time since being fitted for hearing aids, and it is so sweet.
"Sully has always LOVED the feel of music & he loved it even more with his new ears," Alexis Asbury wrote on the video.

In the video, Sully begins rocking from side to side as the song "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley plays. Once he realizes he can hear the song, he spins in a little circle while seated.
He continues to rock, and begins to swing his arms around as he discovers just how enjoyable the song is.
"Sully!" his mom calls, but he ignores her because he's lost in the groove.
"Do you like that?" she asks.
The video skips ahead in the song, but Sully is still dancing away. He even stands up and starts to bop along before the song changes to another Marley tune.
You can hear his mom in the background watching him enjoy the music. His little smile is infectious!
"He is so busy exploring w/ his new ears, he is all over the place! ❤️ " Asbury captioned the video.
Asbury later told Mom.com that she never really "realized what Sully was missing out on until experiencing his reactions to so many things."
"Despite the dozens of challenges Sully has faced in his short 17 months, he has never been anything but genuinely happy. Every time we hear his favorite song & those little arms of his go up, I am reminded that every little thing really will be alright," she added.
The comments are full of people basking in Sully's happiness over music.
"I’m so happy for this baby and I know about him for 5 min ," one person commented.
"Oh gosh this is just pure happiness ," another person said.
"My favourite videos are babies being able to hear and experiencing sounds I just can’t ," someone else wrote.
"I’m sobbing this is beautiful," a person added.
In an earlier video, Asbury shared a clip of Sully getting his hearing aids and hearing for the first time. He spends most of the video simply looking around the room and trying to make sense of it all.
He stares as his mom talks to him, calling his name and simply loving on him with her words. Eventually, he rests his face against hers, and it will make your heart absolutely melt.
"Is your name Sully?" she asks, and he breaks out into the biggest smile.
Asbury captioned the video: "The audiologist said, “take him outside & show him his new world, he’s never heard the birds before."
In yet another video, Asbury clarifies that Sully wasn't completely deaf before getting his hearing aids. She explains that he has hearing loss due to BOR syndrome, and that he couldn't hear high-pitched frequencies like birds, music, and the voices of women and children.
She added that so far the only "intentional" word he says is "Dada," and because of his condition, he couldn't hear the letter "S" and the "LL" in his name. So until now, he thought his name was "Uh Ee."
