If you're anything like us, you watched married couple (and parents!) Channing and Jenna Dewan Tatum's incredible appearance on "Lip Sync Battle" on repeat — and not just because of the epic Beyoncé cameo.
Well, the Beyoncé cameo was a big part of it because, Beyoncé. Still, Jenna's lap dance and intricate stripper moves to Ginuwine's "Pony" were award-worthy. And Channing honestly could have been in Queen Bey's video for "Run the World (Girls)."
The point is, the "Step Up" co-stars have serious moves. And they are being rewarded for it, big time.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show will feature both Channing and Jenna, with Dewan Tatum also appearing as a judge and mentor. Some details are being kept under wraps, but so far the untitled show has been picked up for six 60 minute episodes. It is being described as a "fresh take" on the dance competition genre.
Jenna, who earned her stripes as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson and has also worked with Pink, Missy Elliott and Christina Aguilera. She currently stars as Lucy Lane on the CBS series "Supergirl." Channing is set to star as "Gambit," the comic book film centered on the cult favorite "X-Men."
The couple clearly loves to work together as well. After meeting on the set of dance film "Step Up" in 2006, they married and had a daughter, Everly, 2. Channing once told People, "We're a good support system for each other. We keep pushing each other to grow and be better. I don't think I could do it any other way [than with her]."
Jenna is set to executive produce the dance series, along with her partner Meegan Kiernan. It's impossible to hide our excitement over this new show.
We're already stretching in preparation. Bring it on!
