Your Star Sign’s Tiny Habit That’s Ruining Your Relationship

Relationships are hard, but sometimes our annoying little habits make things even worse. Whether we're helping ourselves to our partner's plate of food or never replacing the toilet paper roll (we see you), chances are our bad behavior is creating a rift in our relationships. March 21 – April 19

In the beginning, it's totally funny when Aries (who literally has no shame) passes gas in front of their partner. Over time, however, that loud, stinky habit might put a damper on their relationship romance. While burping and farting are part of being humans, stinking up the bedroom isn't a form of foreplay.

April 20 – May 20

Taurus loves consistency and craves interaction, which is probably why they annoy the crap out of their partners by texting and calling constantly. While it's nice for anyone to feel loved and wanted, these bulls take it to the extreme and may actually push their partner away by being too clingy.

May 21 – June 20

Anyone in a relationship with a Gemini knows they're a lot of fun but they're also prone to being self-centered. One of the most frustrating little things this twin sign does is interrupt their partner to talk about (you guessed it) themselves. It's not that Gemini doesn't care about what their partner has to say, it's just that they find their own stories so much more interesting.

June 21 – July 22

For the most part, Cancer is relatively bad-habit free, until you make them mad. Then, the tiny passive-aggressive character flaw they're known for rears its ugly head. Whether they're telling you everything is fine when it clearly isn't, or they're smiling while saying something super shady, Cancer is kind of terrifying when they're upset. Of course, that makes it incredibly difficult for their partner to work things out with them, which can lead to bigger relationship issues.

July 23 – August 22

From the outside, Leo looks like they've got their sh*t together and that makes them incredibly attractive. While these dynamic lions certainly have a lot to offer, they also second-guess themselves over small decisions and need their partner to give them reassurance. It's not that their partner doesn't want to give their input, it's just that little things, like ordering off the drive-thru menu, shouldn't require a major pep talk.

August 23 – September 22

This actually isn't a tiny habit—it's more of a big problem. Virgo is basically the private detective of the zodiac and known for spying on their partners. Whether this maiden sign is hacking into their email or tracking their partner's movements through secretly installed phone apps, their intrusive, distrustful nature can make their significant other go on the defense, even when they haven't done anything wrong.

September 23 – October 22

Libra prides themselves on looking good and always being presentable. They tend to work hard on their fitness, their style choices and are known to have amazing makeup skills. The only problem? They also love to check themselves out in the mirror, all the time. The attention they give to their appearance can make their partner feel like they're playing second fiddle in the relationship.

October 23 – November 22

Scorpio loves things. They love shiny things, small things, fluffy things and things that could be used to make other things. While this sign is good about not blowing all their hard-earned cash on shopping, they do have an annoying habit of buying lots of inexpensive, unnecessary "stuff" to add to their collection, which, over time, can overwhelm their closets and their partners.

November 23 – December 21

If you've ever heard the term "too much honesty," it was likely said about a Sagittarius. This archer sign is known to be incredibly blunt and straightforward when they speak, to the point of unintentionally hurting the ones they love. While at first their brand of honesty can be refreshing, their lack of filter and unwillingness to soften their delivery can create a divide between them and their partner.

December 22 – January 18

Capricorn has the best of intentions, but they tend to move through the world wearing blinders. Often this sea-goat sign can only see what's right in front of them, such as their partner's delicious french fries or the leftovers they wanted to pack for their lunch the next day. The underlying issue for many Caps is that in their attempt to help themselves, they're showing their partners that they don't care about or respect their needs.

January 19 – February 18

A relationship with an Aquarius is satisfying mentally and emotionally, but may leave much to be desired in the cleanliness department. This water-bearing sign is a cup overflowing with good ideas and inspiration, which leaves little time for them to handle the more mundane tasks in life, like cleaning the house or folding the laundry. While their inherent messiness can be cute (at first), it can eventually turn in to a point of contention for their partners.

February 19 – March 20

There is a lot to love about Pisces. They're generous, loving and sensitive and really good at making their partner feel validated. The only small thing their partner probably wishes they would change? Their need for long, drawn-out emotional conversations that go well past the point of reason. While Pisces deserves to explore their feelings as much as necessary, their partner may grow weary of having to go on that journey with them.
