Which animal matches your zodiac sign?

You just might be surprised to find out who in the animal kingdom matches your soul, head to tail.

Aries

Just like Aries, lemurs are quick thinkers who know how to get what they want and love to have fun doing it. You'll find these spirited nocturnal creatures swinging in trees and eating wild fruit. Fun fact: female lemurs dominate males, which is total Aries behavior.

Taurus

Taurus is often compared to a bull, but nothing matches their true temperment like a polar bear. The masters of patience, Taurus and polar bears will wait until the right moment comes to fulfill their desires. Just like polar bears are invisible hunters in the snow, a pissed off Taurus is imperceptible until they knock you down and show you who's in charge.

Gemini

The twin sign is a perfect match for long-necked giraffes. Extremely social and rarely territorial, giraffes and Gemini love to stand out and be noticed. They would rather enjoy the company of others than fight. Both are smarter than they look, however, and can easily trample anyone, verbally and physically, who starts drama.

Cancer

Commonly called "the crab," Cancer is far more like a tortoise than any hard-shelled seafood. They are emotional creatures prone to using their senses to navigate the world. Like tortoises, Cancer won't reveal themselves unless they feel safe. Cancer feels most at home with their family, but needs regular time for solitude and reflection.

Leo

The zodiac had it right when they linked Leo to the king of the jungle. Powerful, inspiring, fearless and majestic, lions and Leo own their territory and are not afraid to fight to defend it. Leo is well respected as a leader in both the home and their community. They have limitless patience for their children but zero tolerance for anyone else who might annoy them.
Virgo

Virgo is charming and beautiful, but also extremely introverted and shy. This makes them a perfect match with mandrills, colorful-faced monkeys that prefer to be with their families (called troops) and are prone to acting out in violence when confronted by strangers. In their families, like Virgo, mandrills are protective and nurturing, but can be greedy and take the biggest piece of fruit for themselves.

Libra

Both Libra and gray wolves are focused, intense and loyal creatures. Libra loves equality and fairness, but they also are true romantics. Likewise, gray wolves are devoted to one partner for life and equally share responsibilities as well as food.

Scorpio

Scorpio may be named after a venomous insect, but their true spirit animal is an African elephant. These maternal, loving animals have long memories, just like Scorpio. Make them mad and they will never (ever) forget it. Both Scorpio and elephants will blow their trumpets when they feel threatened, and like an elephant, when a Scorpio comes for you, it's going to hurt.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius is a unique, rare individual in the zodiac. They have unusual insight to the world around them and are objects of fascination for other signs. It is hard to pin a Sagittarius down and this is why they are likened to an illusive zebra who spends its life roaming freely at its leisure.

Capricorn

Capricorn is known as a hard worker who has a lot to offer the world. Similarly, southern masked weavers are some of the hardest-working birds in the wild. A male masked weaver will build an average of 25 nests from grass and reeds each mating season. Like a Capricorn, weavers don't make excuses and aren't afraid of a difficult task.

Aquarius

Aquarius is a true peacock. Known for their beautiful souls and ability to inspire others, Aquarius is the spiritual incarnation of a brilliant peacock on full display. An Aquarius lets you know who they are up front and doesn't try to hide, just like a peacock showing his immense, gorgeous train. Peacocks and Aquarius both have a mean streak though, and will chase anyone down who bothers them.

Pisces

Pisces is known to be expressive of their emotions, which is why this water sign matches perfectly with the mandarin fish. The bright colors of the mandarin make it easily recognizable, just like a sensitive Pisces is to other zodiac signs. The vivid blue of the mandarin is similar to the melancholy mood of a Pisces and both the fish and the person are particular about who they'll spend time with.
