How to Store Apples in the Kitchen

Step 1

Wash and wipe apples to remove any chemicals that could be on the skins.

Step 2

Check the apples for bruises and separate the bruised apples from healthy apples. Bruises will spread if they touch a healthy apple.

Step 3

Place the apples in a brown paper bag and fold the top of the bag down.

Step 4

Store the apples in the vegetable drawer in the refrigerator. Apples will stay crisp and fresh for at least three weeks in the refrigerator.
