DIY Grout Cleaning

Step 1

Fill a cleaning bucket with about 1 gallon water and 2 cups baking soda.

Step 2

Dip either a mop or cleaning rag into the mixture, wring out and wipe over the grout. This removes basic buildup that accumulates on a daily basis, and is often all that's required.

Step 3

Mix a baking soda paste in a bowl for heavier buildup. Add about 2 cups baking soda to a bowl and stir in water until it forms a paste.

Step 4

Dip a nylon scrub brush into the mixture, scrub over the grout and repeat until all grout is clean.

Step 5

Wipe down the grout with a wet mop or cleaning rag to remove the paste and allow to air dry.
