DIY: Tin Sunburst Ornaments

Materials:

  • Ballpoint pen
  • One 12-by-36-inch roll of 36-gauge aluminum foil
  • Metal glue

Directions:

  1. Print all three circle templates and cut them out. Use a ballpoint pen to trace the outer and inner circles onto aluminum foil. Press firmly on the inner circles to emboss the foil. Cut the outer circle shapes with titanium scissors.
  2. Cut fringe from the edge to the embossed inner circles on all three foil circles.
  3. Stack the fringed sunbursts on top of one another, largest to smallest, and glue them together. Color the center of the smallest sunburst with a fat-tip marker, if desired. To hang, punch a small hole in the top of the sunburst with a nail or nail punch and a hammer, and insert an S-hook.
