Step 1
Label a quart-sized plastic zip-top freezer bag “Baby's Ice Pack.” Writing down the contents of the homemade ice pack will help prevent any confusion later.
Step 2
Fill the plastic zip-top bag with 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol and 1 1/2 cups of water. The alcohol keeps the water from freezing completely, so the ice pack remains pliable.
Step 3
Close the bag. Place this closed bag into a second quarter-sized plastic zip-top bag. Zipper this second bag as well. This will ensure that the liquid will not drain from the interior bag if it rips.
Step 4
Place the bag into the freezer. It will take several hours for the liquids to freeze.
