Hairy Situation

In May 2023, Tia and her son teamed up for a reel captioned, "tfw [that feeling when]: it's wash day." The two bust out a few coordinated dance moves before Tia proceeds to shampoo Cree's hair in the kitchen sink. "You best believe Cree and I had to bring the vibes to our favorite day: WASH DAY!" Tia wrote.

Of course, fans were quick to jump on the fact that Cree looked anything but enthused about the situation. "He was over it before it began," one person commented.

History Lesson

The mother-son duo was at it again in this hilarious reel from April 2023. "Just trying to teach him a lil something 'bout the 80s!" Tia wrote alongside a clip of her showing Cree some classic dance moves from the decade — including the moonwalk — set to Bobby Brown's "Every Little Step." She really gets into the moment, but Cree is not at all impressed. He looks at the camera and shakes his head, he yawns, the words "somebody come get her" flash across the screen … He's not even officially a teenager yet, but he's already reached the "my mom is so embarrassing" phase.

Fashion Policing

Speaking of being embarrassed by your mom, this moment from February 2023 takes that sentiment to the next level. As Tia explained in her caption, she was trying to channel her inner Rihanna by donning a belted leopard-print bodysuit and knee-high stretch boots. But when Cree catches sight of his mom, he immediately begins shaking his head. "Why??? It's a bathing suit," Tia responds, prompting Cree to snap back: "Oh really? If it's a bathing suit then why are you wearing high, high shoes, huh?"

When Tia tries to sway him by explaining that this is a Beyoncé- and Rihanna-approved look, he shuts down the conversation for good: "Don't care. Don't care."

Teen Spirit

While Cree may be on the cusp of his teenage years, it seems Tia's daughter is growing up even faster. In this January 2023 reel, Tia jokes that Cairo is 4 going on 14. "She's giving me that teenage angst already, y'all. I mean reaaally!!!??" she wrote, as the clip shows a sassy Cairo crossing her arms, giving some side-eye, and bumping her mom as she passes by.

Wipe Out

In this adorable video from November 2022, Tia and Cairo are loving on each other. They start by eskimo kissing and then Tia gives her girl a peck on the cheek. But things quickly take a turn. "When you thought you were having a sweet moment with your daughter … Wait for it …" Tia teases in a text caption, before Cairo can be seen immediately wiping off her mom's kiss with her shirt. "Really???!!!" Tia laughingly reacts.

Smell Test

Every parent knows it can be a struggle to get kids to eat their veggies. When this November 2022 clip kicks off, it appears that Tia has won the parenting lottery and has a good eater on her hands. Cairo spears her broccoli and pops it in her mouth without a fuss — but she then proceeds to do the classic move of all picky eaters: plug her nose. If you can't smell it, you can't taste it!

Toe to Toe

It's clear from her social media posts that Tia takes fashion very seriously — including her killer collection of heels. On this day, she was rocking a cute pair of translucent pointy-toe heels, but she was promptly ticketed by the fashion police. Cairo took one look at his mom's shoes and said, "Your feet are all squished. You're going to get, like, thousands of bunions." LOL. "When your own kids grow up to roast you …" Tia captioned the post.

Cupcake Wars

In this video from September 2022, Tia attempted to do the viral cupcake prank — but she wasn't prepared for Cairo's over-the-top reaction. Tia placed a cupcake in front of her and tested her patience by telling her to wait five seconds before touching it. But when the time was up, Tia swooped in and stuffed the cupcake in her mouth, prompting Cairo to burst into tears. "I learned a valuable lesson today … never get between Cairo and her cupcakes!" Tia wrote in her caption.

Self-Care Sabotage

Is there anything better than treating yourself to a relaxing bath at the end of a long day? In this clip, Tia had just settled into her tub with a glass of red wine when the door flew open and Cairo busted in on her. Her "me time" quickly turned to "we" time. "Could I have my business to myself sometimes? Can't even take a bath around here," Tia joked.

Unfiltered

In January 2023, Tia and Cree filmed themselves going down the rabbit hole of trying out different Snapchat filters and having way too much fun. They did the bald head, crying face, and Shook filters to hilarious results — at times, the two were laughing so hard that they spit out their water. They even discovered a whole new side to themselves: "Apparently our alter egos are called Jolene and Billy. Y'all that was equally terrifying and hilarious!" Tia captioned the clip.

Mom Diss

In this video, Tia is ready to have a cinematic-style mom moment as she bends down with her arms wide open, waiting for little Cairo to run into them for a hug. It's all unfolding perfectly — until Cairo stops short in front of her mom and then turns and runs off, denying Tia her hug. "I carried this child for 9 months very carefully … for this," she lamented in her caption.

Dancing Queens

After what she described as a "crazy week" in May 2022, Tia blasted some Lizzo to celebrate the weekend. But as she was showing off her dance moves to her fans, Cairo hilariously kept stealing her spotlight — but it only made Tia more determined. We love a good mother-daughter dance-off!

Party's Over

Tia's kids don't appear in this reel, but it certainly nails mom life with its funny take on the demise of late nights out once we become parents. Tia is cozied up in bed, reading a book, as an audio clip plays of two people discussing plans to go out that night. But when Tia's character learns the suggested meeting time, she's got questions. "9 o'clock? P.M.? Tonight? On purpose?" she mouths, speaking for all tired moms out there.

Love Overboard

In this 2021 reel, Tia is all of us when she spoofs the fact that parents can sometimes love their kids a little too much. "No, I don't think you understand. I'm obsessed," she mouths along to a Nicki Minaj audio clip, before the camera cuts to her, Cree, and Cairo snuggled up together on the couch. Tia then proceeds to plant giant kisses on her kids' cheeks. "It's an obsession I can't quit," she wrote in her caption.

Busted

When Tia's Los Angeles home was featured in a 2021 episode of MTV's Cribs, there was one feature she was particularly excited to show off during the tour: her wine wall, well stocked with what she's dubbed "Mommy's Juice." But it seems Cree felt she wasn't giving viewers all of the pertinent details. "Do you want to tell what happened?" he asks his mother. "You … drunk?" Tia's quick to interject. "A whole bottle of wine," she says, laughing, before speaking directly to the camera. "So, yes, I did drink a whole bottle of wine, Cree. But only once," she adds, with a coy little wink.
