15 Celebrity Parents Who Love Co-Sleeping With Their Kids

Co-sleeping is one of those always-controversial parenting choices. Some moms and dads swear by it and feel that having a cozy family bed is the best way to increase the amount of sleep that everyone in the house is getting (especially when late-night feedings are still on the menu). Other parents, and some medical associations, argue that co-sleeping is potentially dangerous and can make it hard for babies and toddlers to learn to sleep on their own.

As with any controversial parenting topic, it’s always interesting to see which celebrity parents decide to be outspoken about their choices. This includes those stars who are all about the co-sleeping lifestyle and who have openly shared why they love having their little (and not-so-little) ones in bed with them.

Some of the names on this list aren’t surprising at all — because we know they are outspoken attachment parents and crunchy mamas — but we were a little surprised at some of the other happy co-sleepers out there. Put on some jammies and read on for 15 celebrity parents who love co-sleeping with their kids and who aren’t afraid to talk about it.

Alicia Silverstone

Alicia Silverstone has never been shy about sharing some of her more uncommon parenting choices (remember the whole thing with feeding her son her pre-chewed food?). So it isn’t a surprise that she got people talking in 2022 when she revealed she was still co-sleeping with her son, Bear, who was 11 years old at the time.

Mayim Bialik

Big Bang Theory star and current Jeopardy host Mayim Bialik has long been an outspoken advocate for attachment parenting, including co-sleeping. She explained in a 2013 interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper that her family had a double floor bed to make sure there was space for both of her kids.

Sometimes actress, former girlfriend of Kanye West, and perpetually fame-chasing Julia Fox had people talking when she gave a now-viral tour of her apartment on TikTok. During that tour, she revealed that her son, Valentino, has his own space but prefers to sleep with her. “He only wants to be in mama’s room,” she said. “He doesn’t even sleep in his room. He sleeps in bed with me. Yeah, we’re co-sleepers. Sue me, I don’t care.”

Alanis Morissette

Alanis Morissette is another proud attachment parenting mama. In addition to being pro-baby wearing and all in for extended breastfeeding, the “You Oughta Know” singer also shared pictures of her cozy — but maybe a little crowded — family bed as she, her husband, and her three kids snuggled up together.

Kim Kardashian

Most of the time, we don’t think Kim Kardashian is a particularly relatable mom, but we can’t help but agree that there are few things sweeter than the cozy snuggles of our sleeping kids. We just kind of have to laugh that Kim may have an absolutely massive house but still wakes up with all of her children crowded into one room.

Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian loved co-sleeping with son Mason so much that it was even a plot point in her 2012 reality series Kourtney and Kim Take New York. In fact, Mason was her main bed buddy, as baby daddy Scott Disick slept in a separate room from the pair, despite his best efforts to try to share a bed with them.

One of our favorite oversharing moms is Kristen Bell. She revealed during a guest appearance on husband Dax Shepard’s podcast, Armchair Expert, that while the couple doesn’t share a bed with their daughters, they do co-sleep in the same room. Lincoln and Delta bunk on their floor, and Kristen said the four family members in one room sometimes leads to “a really raunchy smell” due to “family gas.” (See what we mean by oversharing?)

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi

In 2021, Jersey Shore alum Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi shared with Us Weekly that her family does boys’ and girls’ segregated co-sleeping. “I sleep with my daughter, and then [husband] Jionni sleeps with Lorenzo in his bed,” she explained. But she added that she and Jionni still make “romantic time” a priority by arranging meetups in the guest room.

Tori Spelling

Sometimes parents co-sleep as a strategy to help survive the early newborn and baby days. But sometimes co-sleeping emerges during times of transition. Tori Spelling shared in 2021 that when her husband, Dean McDermott, went out of town for six months for work, she found herself co-sleeping with her four kids, none of whom were babies at that time.

Brad Pitt

Back before their relationship dramatically imploded, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were so committed to co-sleeping that they even commissioned a gigantic family bed. In 2007, Brad told the Associated Press that they had a 9-foot-wide bed built and were considering expanding it to be 11 feet wide so they could grow their family more.

Milla Jovovich

Another celebrity who did extended co-sleeping was actress and model Milla Jovovich, who shares three kids with husband Paul Anderson. Milla dished on her family’s bedtime arrangements during a 2019 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, explaining that her 11-year-old and 3-year-old at the time were still happily crashing with their mom and dad in the big bed.

Tia Mowry

Tia Mowry, who got divorced from Cory Hardrict in 2022, spoke out about her love for co-sleeping in a 2014 interview with OK! magazine. She gushed, “My son sleeps with us, and we absolutely enjoy it. I’m a working mom, so I don’t necessarily see him throughout the day, so when I come home and put him to bed, he’s right there with me, and we’re cuddling.”

Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum, whose four kids are now 18, 17, 16, and 13, was a big believer in co-sleeping. She previously shared that each of her children co-slept in her bed or room for the first year of their life. Judging by this 2016 picture, the family bedtime cuddles continued long after that first year!

Christina Ricci

Every parent with multiple kids knows that each child is unique and needs to be parented a little differently. Christina Ricci provided a perfect example of this to People when she explained the difference between her baby daughter and her big-kid son when it comes to sleep: “The fact that I can put her down in her crib and she just goes to sleep when my 8-year-old still sleeps with me is amazing.”

Coco Austin

Coco Austin continues to be unflinchingly honest about her parenting choices with daughter Chanel, even though she’s been flamed for practicing extended breastfeeding and doing racy TikTok dances with the 7-year-old. But she’s unapologetic about her love of co-sleeping and having a family bed for Chanel and husband Ice-T.
