Nick was trying to prove he could name all of his kids from oldest to youngest

The 42-year-old TV host found himself in the hot seat on Monday when he confidently began listing off the names of his kids. "Moroccan and Monroe, which we call Roc and Roe," Nick said, beginning with the twins he and ex-wife Mariah Carey welcomed 11 years ago.

He then named the two older children he shares with Brittany Bell

Nick was going in age order, so he mentioned 6-year-old Golden and 2-year-old Powerful before moving on to 1-year-old twins Zion and Zillion, who he shares with Abby De La Rosa. Next, he started naming the newest arrivals in his larger-than-life family, which is when things got away from him.

He mentioned his late son Zen before getting to the babies of his family

Nick and Alyssa Scott tragically lost Zen to a brain tumor in 2021, but the proud father still remembered his little boy before listing the youngest members of the Cannon family.

"And then from there, Legendary Love," he said of the 9-month-old he shares with Bre Tiesi. "Then there's [6-month-old], Rise."

But that's as far as Nick got before Howard tried to cut in.

Embarrassingly, there was one name left off Nick's list

Despite interruptions from Howard, Nick continued down the list, adding 5-month-old Beautiful and 3-month-old Halo before pausing to think about who he could have possibly missed.

Howard informed him that he "left out Onyx Ice Cole" when naming his children.

"Ah, no," Nick exclaimed. "You know, I did. You threw me off because I was going in order." Let's hope Onyx's mom, LaNisha Cole, accepts that excuse!

Nick is likely going to have to make things up to his forgotten daughter

He admitted that his oversight was going to "create a problem" at home, saying that he's already "in trouble" with the mothers of his children pretty much every day over one thing or another. The good news is that Onyx is too young to know that her dad forgot about her, but the bad news is that LaNisha probably took Nick to task for the omission as soon as he got off the air.

We know one thing for sure: Nick's never going to forget about Onyx again!
