Jenna Dewan takes her daughter's privacy very seriously. Everly, whom Jenna had with Channing Tatum before their eventual divorce, is now 6, and Jenna has only posted photos of her face once or twice on social media. Instead, Jenna usually opts for photos of Everly from the back, or she covers her daughter's face with emojis when posting it. Since photos of Jenna with Everly are so rare, it makes them that much more special when Jenna shares one.
Over the years, as Everly's gotten older and the two of them have done more things together, Jenna has started to share more often. But she always carefully covers her daughter's face to let her have some semblance of privacy. Celebrities already have to give so much of themselves to the public, it's great to see Jenna setting digital boundaries around her child. Once Jenna gives birth in 2020 to baby no. 2, she'll likely follow the same photo posting rules with that child as she has with Everly.
Even without seeing Everly's face in these pics, they still mark such sweet mother-daughter moments in both of their lives.
First photo
This is one of the only photos Jenna has ever posted of her daughter's face. It was the first picture of Everly that surfaced online, and it's such a heartwarming snap of a delighted mother and her little girl (and dad Channing Tatum, too).
Workout pals
When she was a couple of years old, Everly began mimicking everything Jenna did. This photo of her copying her mom's workout stance is so cute. Years later, Jenna would call Everly her "favorite workout partner."
Visiting a petting zoo
Jenna may be a celebrity, but her mother-daughter outings with little Everly are just as normal as any other parent's. Even better, this was Jenna's Mother's Day activity that year. She just specifically chose something that her daughter would also like. "Ev loves herself some farm animals," Jenna wrote in the photo caption.
Joining the Beyhive
Gotta introduce kids to the iconic singers early on. In this video, Jenna and Everly watched Beyoncé perform while Jenna chanted "Beyoncé" over and over again. "We're a [bey]hive household over here," Jenna captioned the clip.
Snug as a ladybug
Everly's face is covered with the customary emojis in this photo, because Jenna just couldn't resist sharing her cute costume. For this Halloween pic, Jenna dressed as a unicorn and Everly went as an adorable ladybug. Years later, mom and dad traded — and Channing Tatum went as a unicorn.
Mother's Day hugs
Jenna doesn't always post about Everly (OK, she almost never does), but Mother's Day is the one time of year that Jenna usually shares a photo of her daughter. In 2017, she posted this sweet photo of the two of them hugging. "The love I feel is overwhelming," Jenna wrote. "Thank you Evie for showing me what life is about and choosing me as your mommy."
Beach day
As a hands-on mom, Jenna got right in the thick of it during a beach outing with Everly. Perhaps it would have been easier to lounge and watch Everly play, but instead the two of them ran around in the sand together and got this cute picture of their ocean games.
Letting Everly color on mama
Everly isn't in this photo, but she sure left her mark on Mom. "Evie just might take over the beauty industry one day. Her finest work I dare say," Jenna captioned this photo of her face with an explosion of makeup courtesy of her daughter.

Rehearsal interruption
Mom life means that sometimes when we're working, our kids still need our attention. Jenna didn't seem to mind that Everly interrupted her practice time — she danced as much as she could with Everly hanging around her waist. What a champ.
Dancing together
Everly doesn't always interrupt Jenna's dance time, though. Sometimes, she joins her. For Mother's Day 2018, the pair hopped around in the studio together. Like mother, like daughter. Everly is a natural!
Pool time
In the first photo Jenna posted from this pool day, she was relaxing on a butterfly raft. In the second, Everly jumped in and disrupted the serene moment. "Instagram vs. reality," Jenna joked. Any mom with kids is familiar with this kind of reality check, but we love our little ones despite it all. They keep life fun.
Holding hands
For Mother's Day 2019, Jenna reflected upon being a parent to a 6-year-old. "Becoming a mother changed my life forever," she wrote alongside this picture of her snuggled up with Everly. "I learned love in a way I never thought I could learn. Hardest and best job of my life."
We second that.
Strike a pose
Everly already has her mother's grace. She's totally nailing this pose at age 6. For this fun beach day, Jenna wrote that they jumped in the waves and "saved exactly 45 mermaids." And then they took this adorable picture.
Everly's gonna be a big sister
In September 2019, Jenna announced that she and her boyfriend, Steve Kazee, were expecting a child together. The little boy or girl will make Everly a big sister, and Jenna posted this sweet picture of her snuggling with her daughter to share the news. "Becoming a mother is quite simply the absolute best most incredible thing that has ever happened to me," she wrote.

When Jenna took photos for the cover of her book, Gracefully You, Everly tagged along. This behind-the-scenes snap of mom and daughter lying on the ground is so sweet. We can't see Everly's face, but we can see the joy in her mom's.

Few things are cuter than moms and daughters wearing matching clothes. Here, the two are wearing cozy black rompers as part of a brand partnership Jenna did. "Evie wears hers everywhere," Jenna said of the outfit.
Thanksgiving photobomb
Yep, this one will be familiar to any mom who's ever tried to get a nice family picture. But sometimes, it's the most real photos that we grow to cherish the most. This snap of Everly waving her toys around and accidentally hitting mom in the face is the perfect picture of motherhood.
Saying hi to baby
Jenna was snapping photos of her bump when Everly came in and gave her mom's belly a big hug. She's already a great big sis to be bonding with her sibling before they're even born. We can't wait to see what precious photos Jenna shares of the two of them someday.
Nighttime snuggles
"Best way to end the day," Jenna captioned this photo of her daughter cuddling up next to her. Soon, it won't just be Everly and her mom, but we're sure that Jenna will continue to prioritize special moments like these with her firstborn even after the new baby comes.

For Christmas, Jenna took Everly to the ballet. The two got all dressed up and everything. Jenna even shared a photo to her Instagram stories. Everly's face was blocked out as usual, but it's so cute to see them on such a fun outing together.
