While many parts of parenthood are pretty magical, we'd say that tantrums definitely don't fall into that category, and that's something that celebrity dad Andy Cohen knows firsthand. Andy shared a video of his son's meltdown on Instagram, and there are a lot of parents out there who can relate.

Andy shared what happened when he got back from his book tour
In the background, we can hear his 4-year-old son, Ben, crying because he had to share a piece of his cookie with his 12-month-old sister, Lucy.
"So you're crying because I gave you a cookie? Is that why you're crying?" Andy says. "Because I ripped a little piece off for Lucy so that you would share with her? Well, I think it's nice for you to share."
By the end of the video, Andy is regretting that he gave his kid a cookie in the first place
The crying continues, and eventually Ben marches past in the background, still sobbing and refusing to sit with his dad.
"I shouldn't have given you the cookie, maybe none of these problems would've happened," Andy said, defeated.

Plenty of people were able to sympathize
The comments were flooded with support from fellow parents who have been there.
"Poor little guy. He's overwhelmed with emotion and not sure how to express it yet. You're such a great dad!" one person wrote.
Another made a pretty hilarious comparison. "Which is worse? Children or housewives?" they wrote.
Things usually seem much more peaceful in Andy's house
Well, as peaceful as raising a toddler and a baby under the same roof can be, anyway. Still, just about every child Ben's age is going to have meltdowns like the one in his video from time to time — it's perfectly normal, and we're willing to bet plenty of parents felt seen after Andy shared that clip!

He clearly learned his lesson about cookies
And as important as it is to teach your children how to share … sometimes, if you really need the peace and quiet, it's just easier to give each their own cookie or skip the cookies altogether.
Better luck next time, Andy!
