The book Allison and tWitch wrote together was inspired by their family

This week, Allison shared the news in an interview with People, revealing that their book, which is called Keep Dancing Through: A Boss Family Groove, will be out on January 16, 2024.

They began writing it together in 2021, before tWitch tragically died by suicide in December 2022.

The cover features their family

The book's illustrations include Allison, tWitch, and all three of their children: Weslie, 14, Maddox, 7, and Zaia, 3.

"I'd always had a dream of coming out with a children's book. It was from years ago when I had Weslie. Then, a couple of years ago, I was like, 'Let's do it!' Let's show who we are and put it in story form," Allison told People.

They included their kids in the process of writing the book

"We were allowing the kids to start being part of the process, and it's something we were so proud of, and we still are so proud of," she said. "It's something that I hope really can be seen by people, and is our true essence as a family."

How special for her to be able to share this project with the world, even in the midst of their family's grief.

In the post, she shared that she and Stephen began writing the book in the summer of 2021, hoping to share their family's values of "spreading kindness and hope."

"Now that the book is finished, I am so proud of what we made, and how it encapsulates our family, how you can feel the real love and joy running through every page. I hope reading it sends a little joy and love to all of you," she wrote.

"And of course, I hope it inspires you to dance," Allison continued. "Because, to put it quite simply, that's what our family is going to do — we're going to keep dancing through."

The book is now available to preorder

There's no doubt that this was an emotional announcement for Allison, but good for her for continuing to spread joy to others in the midst of what must be a truly difficult time for her family.
