It's incredibly difficult for celebrities to keep secrets in the year 2021. Not only are there paparazzi cameras everywhere, but everyday people also all have cameras on their phones. It takes just one fan to snap a picture of a celebrity's baby bump to reveal her big news to the world. That's why it's so impressive that these celebrity moms welcomed babies in secret. Oftentimes, no one even knew they were expecting until the news broke that they'd given birth.
Because celebs have to sacrifice so much of their personal privacy in this job, it makes sense that they'd try to keep their family lives as private as possible. And sometimes that means not confirming their new additions until months after they've arrived. Some A-list parents have even managed to keep their babies' names a secret for years. The FBI and CIA could learn a thing or two about secret-keeping from these stars.
Constance Wu

The most recent example of a celebrity keeping her pregnancy and birth a secret is Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu. Her rep only confirmed the baby news after the little one was born, and no one even knew the actress was pregnant before the December story broke. The child is reportedly a little girl who was born in summer of 2020. Constance isn't big into social media, so don't expect any pictures.
Billie Lourd
The late, great Carrie Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, kept her family line going in 2020 with the birth of a son. Only after he'd joined the world did Billie post that she'd even been pregnant, shocking fans. The actress sweetly honored her mother with her son's name: Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell.
Mindy Kaling

The Office star welcomed her second child in secret while everyone was busy staying at home. People didn't even have any idea that she had been expecting. The new little one is a boy named Spencer, and he joins her 2-year-old daughter Kit. Mindy tends to be pretty protective of her kids, and she hasn't shared photos of their faces or the identity of their father.
Donald Glover's girlfriend Michelle White

Donald Glover is a pro at hiding his girlfriend's pregnancies. Back in 2016, when she gave birth to their son Legend, no one knew any details for months. Donald himself revealed the name in 2017. And he welcomed his third child in the spring of 2020, although he didn't say anything about it until September. When he finally opened up about it, he added that they'd named the little boy after his father Donald Glover Sr., who had recently passed.
Lily Rabe
The actress gave birth to her second child in June, but we were none the wiser until she posted a throwback baby bump shot in August. "Looking back at a day in May," she captioned the #TBT pic. Lily also has a 3-year-old daughter and has managed to keep her name under wraps this whole time.
Amanda Seyfried
Another surprise pregnancy of 2020 was Amanda Seyfried's. The Mamma Mia star kept her baby bump under wraps until well after her son had been born. Only then did she announce the news in September. She then also started posting throwback bump shots on her Instagram and sharing photos of her little one (with his face blocked). Her son joins her 3-year-old daughter, Nina.
Jude Law's wife Phillipa Coan

Jude Law got to break his own baby news on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, revealing that his wife had welcomed their first child together during their time staying at home. When Jimmy asked what he'd been up to lately, Jude talked about gardening for a bit before remembering that he'd also become a father again. "Oh, and on top of that I had a baby," he said. "So there you go."
Jessica Biel

Jessica and her husband Justin Timberlake added a second child to their family earlier in 2020, but they declined to comment publicly on the news. Fortunately, they have famous friends who are willing to spill the beans. Jimmy Fallon spoke out in December about the tiny Timberlake, saying that the little one was "adorable and already funny."
Iggy Azalea
The rapper announced her son Onyx's birth in June 2020 after keeping her pregnancy under wraps. "I have a son," she wrote on Instagram. "I kept waiting for the right time to say something, but it feels like the more time passes, the more I realize I'm always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world."
Jessica Chastain

The actress is very private about her life, and she's yet to comment on reports that she welcomed a second child. However, it would appear that she did, as she was spotted carrying a baby in a sling last March. Jessica already has a daughter named Giulietta whom she tries to keep out of the spotlight as well.
Elijah Wood's girlfriend Mette-Marie Kongsved

Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood reportedly welcomed his first child in February 2020, but he and his girlfriend both stayed quiet on the subject. Reports were substantiated later in May with paparazzi pics of the couple with their newborn, but the actor seems content to keep as much private as possible on the subject.
Kristen Wiig

Last January, Saturday Night Live actor Kristen Wiig secretly welcomed twins via surrogate. She told InStyle that before turning to surrogacy, she'd tried IVF for three years, and she found her infertility struggles very isolating. "I wish I had talked about it more and asked for more help," she said.
Blake Lively

Depite both being extremely in the public eye, A-listers Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds managed to keep the birth of their third child a secret. In October 2019, the news broke that the couple had a third daughter, and she'd been born about two months prior in total secret. Her name was later revealed to be Betty.
Ellie Kemper
Also in October 2019, Office star Ellie Kemper revealed her own pregnancy news. She'd welcomed her second child the previous month, and fans found out about it only after she posted to Instagram about it. "Happy 1-Month Birthday to our baby boy, Matthew!" she wrote. "He has inherited his dad's brown hair and his mom's desire to be carried around all day in a baby sling. He’s a good boy."
Rashida Jones
In September 2018, the media learned that Parks and Rec star Rashida Jones was a first-time mom, having given birth in August of that year. She named her baby boy Isaiah Jones Koenig, but that's really all we know about him. Rashida keeps him away from the spotlight as much as possible.
Rachel McAdams

In November 2018, Rachel finally confirmed that she'd had a child in April of that year. The rumors had persisted thanks to paparazzi shots of her carrying a young boy, but she declined to say anything for months. When she finally spoke out about motherhood, she called it "the greatest thing that's ever happened to me, hands down."
Kylie Jenner

Although media sources insisted for months that Kylie Jenner was pregnant, she refused to confirm anything herself until baby Stormi was actually born in February 2018. Kylie went as far as not leaving her house for the duration of her pregnancy so she could unveil the news on her own timeline and not because paparazzi took pics of her baby bump.
Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana is notoriously private. In 2013, she staged a secret wedding to Italian artist Marco Perego. Then she kept her 2014 twin pregnancy quiet until the media found out and spoiled that. And in 2017, she made it all the way to the birth date before revealing that she'd been pregnant with her third son. She can keep a secret, that's for sure.
Alexis Bledel

In 2016, Alexis Bledel's baby news was spilled by her Gilmore Girls co-star Scott Patterson. Until then, she'd managed to avoid having anyone learn that she'd been pregnant and welcomed a baby boy. "She's really blossomed as a woman and now she's a proud new mother and married and happy," Patterson said at the time. Whoops!
Viola Davis

Her co-star from The Help, Octavia Spencer is the one who broke Viola's baby news in 2011. Octavia revealed at the Elle Awards that Viola had become a mother "just two days ago." Viola had secretly adopted her daughter Genesis right before the ceremony. That was a decade ago when social media wasn't as much of a thing and secrets were easier to keep.
