March 21 – April 19

Aries kids (and adults) tend to have zero volume control. Their whispers are more like growls and their indoor voices land far off the decibel charts. No matter how many times you "shh" them, they simply won't be able to tone down their sound, making younger siblings' nap times and trips to the movies all but impossible. No worries, though, you'll never lose an Aries child, since their loud voices are built-in homing beacons.

April 20 – May 20

Those sweet smiles belie a more troubling truth: These kids are secret eaters. Taurus has a natural inclination towards taste, especially sweet or rich flavors, which leads them to sneak into the pantry or fridge and gorge on whatever yummy treat they can find. This food fixation can lead to cavities, crumbs and childhood obesity. Your best bet is to leave healthy snacks at eye-level for your child to munch throughout the day and always keep a spare toothbrush handy.

May 21 – June 20

Not only are Gemini kids quick thinkers, they're quick movers, too. They're fascinated with what their bodies can do and will take any opportunity to sprint and run free like a wild stallion. This can be problematic when parents turn their backs, even for a second. This twin sign is likely to dart into the road or take off in a crowded place, making the idea of child-leashing a serious (although awkward) consideration for parents of Gemini kids.

June 21 – July 22

Expect a frustrated phone call from the babysitter or daycare about your Cancer child. They're more emotional than most signs and tend to get easily angered, which, unfortunately, leads them to biting other children. It's a quick response for crab children and rarely do they truly want to do another child harm, but those teeth are as strong as pincers and will definitely leave a mark. Make sure to teach Cancer kiddos the art of communication and gentle touch, and repeat the lesson often.

July 23 – August 22

Roughhousing is taken to a new level with Leo kids. This boisterous, dominate sign loves to whack people with their mighty limbs and, even though they're often just kidding around, they may find themselves in frequent fights because of it. Like their lion sign, Leo is born to take charge and will need to learn how to harness their inner power in a way that isn't violent or harmful to others.

August 23 – September 22

You can bet that if your Virgo child tells you "I didn't do it," they're lying. This overly anxious sign has a difficult time admitting when they've done something wrong and will often fib to avoid getting in trouble with their parents. Give Virgo children enough safe space to tell the truth without fear of repercussions and they will learn that honesty is always the best policy.

September 23 – October 22

When high-strung Libra doesn't get their way, they're known to show how they feel with a deep, woeful pouting session. Once this star sign has their mind made up, there's next to nothing that can pull them from their pout, not even getting what they initially wanted. Since this sign thinks of the world in terms of what is fair, it helps to communicate specific reasons why they can't have their way and stay consistent. Once Libra knows the rules, they're less likely to fuss about it.

October 23 – November 22

Tell-it-like-it-is Scorpio will not only show you when they're unhappy, they'll tell you, too. This sign is well-known for their sassy mouth and are the most likely to backtalk and bicker with their parents, siblings, friends and classmates. Teach this attitude-y scorpion the power of communication and compassion to help soften their painful sting.

November 23 – December 21

Dirt, schmirt. Sagitarrius kids are not worried about decorum. These happy explorers will make a mess of themselves and their space while investigating anything that catches their eye—be it a toad, a worm or even a hole in the ground. Parents of this star sign will definitely want to invest in Scotchgard, plastic hallway mats and ample body wash to keep the collateral damage to a minimum.

December 22 – January 19

Intent on getting things exactly right makes Capricorn kids most likely to A) break things and B) have a full-on meltdown about it. This industrious star sign is a natural builder and engineer, and loves nothing more than pulling things apart to see how they work. However, they aren't usually emotionally prepared for the hardship of not being able to put things back together, and will likely show their frustration with an exhaustive temper tantrum.

January 20 – February 18

If Snow White or Cinderella were real people, they'd probably be Aquarius maidens. This animal loving sign has an instant connection with all creatures of the wild and that means they're likely to bring home a barnyard full of animals without your permission. It's impossible for them to not swoop in and rescue any stray fur baby they find, therefore even when they're told to stop, Aquarius kids will likely not listen. Parents can either accept their zookeeper lifestyle or work with their children on animal care and rehoming.

February 19 – March 20

The most sensitive of all the star signs means Pisces children are likely to cry at almost anything. These emotional children will have their hearts broken every other day, over the slightest things (like being told to do a chore or go to bed on time). This means parents of this fish sign will need to have an extra gentle touch but still remain firm, otherwise they'll teach their tenderhearted child that crying can get them out of doing what they're told.
