Are You Astrologically Compatible With Your Child?

Aries moms like to get their hands dirty and be involved in every detail of their kids' lives. These ladies have the easiest time parenting determined, happy and independent children—think: Leo, Gemini, Sagittarius and Aquarius. Children born under the sign of Cancer or Capricorn will pose the biggest struggle for an Aries mother since they require lots of patience, something Aries moms have in short supply.

Taurus moms are gentle, caring and nurturing, but have a tendency to be patronizing. They get along well with children born under Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn or Pisces signs. However, a Leo or Aquarius child may be prone to throw shade or act out if they feel smothered or belittled.

These fun moms are always up for a good time. They tend to be pleasers and like to keep the peace, which makes them a good fit for Aries, Leo, Libra and Aquarius children. Gemini moms will have to have thick skin if they're parenting a Virgo or Pisces child, as they expect depth and sincerity and may be put off by a Gemini's lighthearted ways.

Moms born under the Cancer sign tend to have strong bonds with their children but can be demanding and have high expectations. Scorpio, Virgo, Taurus and Pisces children thrive with this kind of mother and with ample praise. Aries and Libra children, however, won't like being bossed around and may snap with too much pressure.

A Leo mom does not waste time beating around the bush. She is direct and honest, but can also be fiercely protective. Children born under the Aries, Gemini, Libra or Sagittarius signs can appreciate a Leo's blunt style. Not so much for Taurus or Scorpio children. They need a gentler approach than a Leo mom is used to taking.

Virgo mothers love making their children feel special. They are intuitive and nurturing, but can also be judgmental and overly critical. Taurus, Scorpio, Cancer and Capricorn children will instantly click with a Virgo mom, but Gemini and Sagittarius children won't. Their natural response will be to push a Virgo mom away, but if she can give them ample space, they will come around.

A Libra mom is all about fairness and kindness. She will never favor one child over the other and will shower her children with ample affection. Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius and Aquarius children love a Libra mom's sense of justice and integrity. Unfortunately, Cancer and Capricorn children often mistake a Libra's rational parenting style with indifference and may feel disconnected.

Scorpio moms are known for their sharp tongues and haughty tempers. They are hard working and devoted, but need children who are patient. Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn and Pisces children will easily bond to an intense Scorpio, but Leo and Aquarius children will often argue and challenge a parent they feel is stifling their freedom.

While these moms certainly know how to have fun, they are considered more cerebral and thoughtful, which can make them appear aloof. These natural-born adventurers get along best with Aries, Leo, Libra and Aquarius children but may butt heads with Virgo and Pisces children, who need lots of attention.

Capricorn moms are hard-working and sometimes have tunnel vision when they're completing a task. This means they need self-directed children who can entertain themselves. Capricorn mothers do the best with Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio and Pisces kids but will need to focus extra attention on Aries and Libra children, who want to be frequently acknowledged.

These moms tend to be easy-going and supportive, but at times they are forgetful. If they raise Aries, Gemini, Libra or Sagittarius children, they'll feel like super parents, since they'll mesh so well with their kids. However, Taurus and Scorpio children will crave more authority and boundaries than an Aquarius likes to give, causing the child to act out in frustration.

Pisces moms enjoy spending quiet time with their children. Naturally sensitive and imaginative, these moms are compassionate and at times selfless, but can be easily swayed. This makes them a perfect fit for strong-willed Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio and Capricorn children. Gemini and Sagittarius children, who are also highly imaginative, may dislike a Pisces' always-evolving parenting style.
