Remember the good old days, when all you had to do during one of your mom’s rage cleaning episodes was lift up your feet from the coffee table so she could vacuum under your legs? Caught up in a never-ending perfect storm of household chores, errands, and soccer-momming, you may have wondered why your mom wasn’t always in the best mood.
Then, once you hit motherhood, you realize the days of lifting your feet up from the coffee table are long gone. And now, you’re never going to be able to sit down and relax again.
Well-known TikTok creator, Madison Humphrey, recently nailed a parody on exactly this!
In her hilarious, now-viral video, she’s playing the part of an over-stressed mom who’s been pushed to the limit. And she’s not afraid to let her “family” know it.
And, I have to be honest, she sounds an awful lot like I do on laundry day… FREAKIN’ P*SSED.
In the video titled “POV your mom on a random weekday for no reason” Humphrey slays the part of a whirling dervish with a to-do list, and she’s not happy about it.
She furiously stomps around her house vacuuming, moving furniture, doling out threats, and barking orders at anyone in her sight.
Her performance is so flawless! For a minute you’re thinking to yourself, “Dang, has she been looking in my windows on Saturday mornings?” She is absolute perfection.
What’s got me really scratching my head is what she wrote to go alone with the video.
Her caption reads, “No but I get it because this is me once a week and I don’t have kids.” WHAT!? She doesn’t even have kids and yet, she has every mom in her feed yelling, “OMG! IT ME!”
Currently holding steady at a staggering 19.8 million views on TikTok, the creator’s post has drawn in almost 12,000 comments from moms and kids alike! From mopping the carpet to vacuuming the back yard, Humphrey hilariously had no trouble getting her point across.
One commenter wrote, “No reason = she tried all week to tell us nicely and she finally lost it.”
GUARANTEED FACTS.
Another commented, “So “everything that is not picked up is going to the dumpster” is a global thing?”
Global thing? That line basically has its own chapter in What To Expect When You’re Expecting. Lots of followers joined in to relate. It’s clear from the reaction to her video that if you aren’t a mom who puts on this exact performance at least once a week, you definitely grew up with a mom who did.
One mom wrote, “My mom was so valid. I now understand her so much since becoming a mom. 😂😂”
And finally, it all made sense to another mom who commented, “Always thought my mom was crazy for this… now I feel her on every level. The crash out is so real sometimes.”
Humphrey’s post came across loud and clear.
It’s easy to give mom the side-eye when she rushes in from the grocery store with her arms full, yelling for everyone to help her out.
Then we grow up and realize it’s NOT so easy when you’re the one getting the groceries, paying for the groceries, putting the groceries away, cooking the groceries, and cleaning up after the groceries.
So, the next time you see a mom ranting in the middle of an overstimulated, rage-cleaning spree, step aside and believe whole-heartedly that she’s earned every second of her crash out.
And then run the vacuum for once in your life.
