And for those evening hours when everyone is finally in bed, we’re stocking up on things that will help us embrace the season from the comfort of our own homes. With this month’s Editor’s Picks, we’re bringing you some of our favorite items so you can do the same.
OmieBox Bento Box

I’d been hearing about the OmieBox bento box lunchbox for quite some time before I finally got my hands on one. The hype was totally worth it. The OmieBox makes sending hot foods for school lunch — which my kids both prefer — so much easier and more simplified. Everything can go in the same container, the food stays hot for hours, and the insulated container is removable with a compartment that has just enough space for a traditional sandwich, so it’s also versatile.
Lautir Hydra Slip

Man, do I love this stuff. My skin definitely needed some rehab after spending so much time in the sun this past summer. Hydra Slip by Lautir Beauty is a rich exfoliant that will help you slough all that practically cooked summer skin while moisturizing with shea butter at the same time. It’s made with coffee seed powder, which improves circulation and adds a really yummy, but mild coffee scent to the product. Plus, the product is EWG certified and free of silicons, pthalates, parabens, sulfates, and other ingredients that can be harsh on skin.
Boo-tanical Bliss Foaming Hand Soap

We love leaving a little seasonal nod in every room of the house. This limited edition Boo-tanical Bliss foaming hand soap from Kosmatology, is the perfect way to do that in your home restrooms, or even at the office. It’s lavender-eucalyptus scented and has an adorable little ghosted printed on the label, giving it the perfect, subtle Halloween touch. It’s non-toxic and plant-based, made with coconut oil, olive oil, lavender essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil, and not much else.
Forme Power Bra

This sport bra is so good even Taylor Swift wears it! The Forme Power Bra is billed as a posture-correcting bra, and it actually does just that. It’s constructed to naturally activate certain muscle groups from the moment you slip it on, without any discomfort, using tensioned fabrics and double-layer panels, to provide tons of support. In fact, it was actually designed by an orthopedic surgeon and is registered with the FDA.
I’ve now used it during a few workouts and all day at least once, and it truly is supportive and feels like my muscle are better aligned when I’m wearing it. It’s pricey, but worth it, especially if you’re in desperate need of relief from tech neck. Tip: if you have a larger bust, order a size up.
Munchkin Flip & Go Toddler Sippy Cup

I’ve been using Munchkin brand products for more than 13 years, and they’re still a fave for their simple and safe functionality. The Munchkin Flip & Go Toddler Sippy Cup with Straw hold the perfect amount for a small child, it’s transparent so you can make sure what your tot is drinking is fresh, it has an easy-to-use push button that releases the straw so it’s protected from germs when not in use and it’s spill-proof and made with super-durable, BPA-free plastic. And best-of-all, at under $10, it’s affordable!
Scarlet by RedDrop Period Kit

As my daughter gets closer to the age I was when I first got my period, I knew I wanted to to prepare her with plenty of time. So in addition to plenty of open dialogue about what to expect, I got her a period kit from Scarlet by RedDrop. Created by a former school teacher and a physician who both wanted to help girls and their families prepare for the periods with confidence, the kit includes pads of various sizes, hygiene wipes, and a handy dandy pass for girls to hand to their teacher if a period comes on unexpectedly. It even comes with a pretty zippered pouch to keep everything neat and discreet. Having the kit in her backpack really helps to take some of the stress and anxiety out of the situation, which is good for kids and moms.
Munchkin Color Me Hungry Splash Dining Set

Listen, we’ll take anything to get our kids excited about mealtime. Seriously. This cute dining set from Munchkin is colorful and fun. The plates and bowls have grippy bottoms to minimize spills, the cup has a training lid to help with self-drinking skills, and the utensils are stainless steel and ergonomically designed, to your little one will feel like a real big kid. The box even features an adorable coloring craft.
Kindred Bravely Cloud Fleece Pullover & Sweats

Listen, as soon as the nights start to get cool, I just want to be comfy 24/7, and I love nothing more than a cute and cozy set to do that in. The Kindred Bravely Cloud fleece pullover and sweatpants are nice enough that I can be snuggly on the couch on in, but not have to change out of to run out for a night-time sports pick-up. The pants have pockets and an adjustable waist, because these pieces are actually meant to be worn at any stage of motherhood, from pregnancy until well beyond.
Honeydew Scrumptious Pillows

OK, hear us out with this one. I know the price is a bit steep for a pillow, but the Honeydew Scrumptious Classic pillow is so worth it! I’ve haven’t had such a restful night’s sleep in a while and it’s mostly due to this pillow. The pillow provides such great support, since it helps neck, spine, and shoulder all align properly. The one I use is the Classic, but there’s also a side-sleeper option for an ergonomic fit. The fill is cooling and it’s also customizable — take out the firm-yet-super-soft filling to make it less firm or put more in to amp up the firmness. It’s all up to you! Speaking of the filling, it’s CertiPUR-US certified, infusied with copper to give it natural antibacterial properties, and it’s hand-crafted in the U.S. It’s so good, my husband actually swiped it from my side of the bed!
Erin Gray Karma gold-filled bracelet

Erin Gray makes the cutest stackable bracelets and we’re in love. The price is for one, but there are several options of width and prices. All of these are gold-filled and waterproof, so no need to worry about tarnishing or fading. They are so luxe for so little, we love it when we can use little luxuries that make us feel beautiful, for way less than other pricier options.
Coterie Bun Balm

Coterie, the makers 0f those amazing high-end diapers, just introduced a skin care line designed for babies that we’re lusting over. The collection includes a First Wash for hair and body, Soft Cream for all over, and the star, a petroleum-free tub of pure, beautiful moisture they called Bun Balm. Bun Balm is used to prevent diaper rash, so it’s used with every change, but it’s can also be used for extra moisture anywhere baby needs a little more. Coterie has made these skincare products safe, gentle, and microbiome safe. My preemie niece has been loving the First Wash and the Soft Cream and her mom feels extra secure using them on her super delicate skin. But I have to confess, I use Bun Balm too where ever my skin needs a little extra love: elbows, knees, ankles.
