What to Know
Sometimes, people really do say the quiet part out loud. Like, out loud. That’s what one TikTok content creator, Sarah Elizabeth, did when she posted a video with her infant and text on the screen about having more “beautiful white babies” because, according to her, this specific race of babies is “becoming scarce.”
Another user stitched Sarah’s video with his. In his video, he gives some knowing looks to the camera and questions how Sarah really thinks white babies are becoming scarce. In her caption, she claims that 5% of babies born around the world are white. Apparently, according to Sarah, that needs to be fixed.

The mom holds her unsmiling baby in her video while the text on the screen declares that more white babies are needed in the world. Yes, “white” babies specifically. It’s a bold move, but the user who stitched her video is also quick to raise his eyebrows at her and there was plenty of confusion about why she felt compelled to make her video in the first place. Rage bait? Click bait? An actual conviction that she’s right? Honestly, none of those options is a happy one.
And let’s get this part out of the way right now. According to the National Institutes of Health, there is no actual data that backs up the claim that the births of white babies have dropped to anywhere near 5% in the United States. From 2016 until 2024, the births of white non-Hispanic babies did decrease during that time from 52.6% to 49.6% of all births. So, um, yeah, not sure where she is getting her stats, but hers are seemingly wildly inaccurate.
Other people quickly bashed the mom for her comments.

Sarah’s promotion of healthy white babies didn’t do what she might have thought it would, in stirring up support for people going out and having children. Instead, in the comments on the stitched video, people slammed Sarah for her TikTok.
“To be fair she said ‘beautiful’ ones are becoming scarce and I don’t disagree,” someone commented. “I don’t think her having more is going to fix that though…”
“They keep locking them in basements for years and we find out in documentaries, how is that a WORLD problem?” Another person wrote.
Someone also commented that Sarah is “making sure serial killers don’t go extinct.”
Others pointed out that Sarah edited her video with a Bruno Mars and Cardi B song, which is ironic, given what her video’s message is.
“I’m so confused. How are we scarce???” Another user added in the comments. “This isn’t a plan to reproduce to repopulate. How strange.”
Someone also commented, “Someone said ‘maybe if y’all stop shooting them all before they reach adulthood maybe there would be more Sarah Elizabeth.’ Bruhhhh.”
The creator has other videos about the ‘white population’ in the U.S.
Those who are familiar with this particular influencer mom on TikTok commented to say that this sort of content is par for the course with her. And, over on her actual page, she has other videos promoting this idea of having more white babies for the benefit of raising so-called percentage numbers. In one video, she says in the caption, “So you want us white people to keep dwindling to extinction? The level of racism towards white people is out of control.”
Comments under that video slammed Sarah for her brash ideas about the population of white people around the world. And, as one user put it, she might not be the best representative for white people in general.
“If white people are like you, honey, we deserve to be done,” they wrote.
