Mom Is Mortified After Learning What Her Toddler Tells People About Her

Kids say the darndest things. Anyone who has ever been around a kiddo under the age of 10 knows that they have absolutely no control over what comes out of their mouths. Usually it’s adorable because many of them are just sharing information about their lives, but their interpretation may be slightly…off. One toddler mom on TikTok shared a conversation she had with her toddler about her exercise routine. And while the little one may have understood that mom exercises, they apparently aren’t articulating it quite right.

It was all a hilarious misunderstanding.

Mom Em shared a video talking to her toddler who was sitting in the backseat of the car. “POV: Your 2 year old tells everyone that mummy parties 3x a week,” she wrote on the video.

“Where did Mummy go?” she asks. “Parties,” her little one replies. “Pilates,” she says, trying to understand what her little one is saying.

“Can you say pilates?” she wonders. “And you’ve been telling people Mummy does that three times a week?” she asks, and her toddler confirms.

The toddler mom captioned the post “When your toddler starts spreading rumours.”

Fellow parents shared their own stories with the toddler mom.

“Mine falls over and jumps up ‘Its ok I’m just drunk’ 💀 🫠,” one mom wrote. Em replied to that one, writing “STOP 🤣 I think this is my fav, hahahah.”

“Mine says “mummy drinks adult drinks every day”. yes my coffee 😭,” another mom wrote.

Another mom wrote “My son told his teacher I go to see ‘Jim’ at night when in fact I go to the gym.”

“Your kids are really unintentionally your own worst enemy at times 😩😩😩,” one mom wrote, to which Em replied “Girl literally 😭😭.”

Another mom shared her own toddler story. “My little one (3) proceeded to tell the new starter at her nursery that ‘mummy had 3 men over when I woke up this morning’ – yep them 3 men was fitting our fibre optic broadband,” she wrote.

Others admitted that they were once that kid.

These stories weren’t limited to current toddlers. Oh no. Little kids have been embarrassing their moms for years, it turns out.

“My mum used to help special needs children get to school and her job was to basically escort then and sit with them all in the minivan and ensure everyone remains safe! I used to tell everyone my mum was an escort,” one person wrote.

“I remember being really young and saying in school ‘My daddy shoots people.’ My dad was in the army fighting in Afghanistan at the time. Let’s say when they called my mother in for a welfare meeting she was mortified the teachers laughed after,” another person wrote.

“I used to work in a pub and my daughter would come with me for the first hour before her dad could pick her up. At 2.5 years old she was telling her nursery providers she had been ‘boozing’ 🫠😂,” one mom wrote.

“My parents got called into school because I had a black eye which I got when we were at a family party in the local pub and I ran into a table despite my dad telling me multiple times to stop. However what I said when asked by my teacher was I got at the pub with my dad,” one person wrote.

“Don’t worry, I told my primary school teachers that my mum dropped me off and goes to the pub every day – they called her in to see if she was okay (this was also during when my parents were splitting so the timing wasn’t great) and they asked if it was true – my mum said told them it was true – because she was the ASSISTANT MANAGER so she was going to work at the pub😭😭,” another person shared.
