TikToker @bippityboppitybree shared in her video that at 25 years old, she's starting to get asked about when she's having kids.
"I’m at the age where, well, honestly, as soon as you hit your 20s, people love to ask women this. But people have always asked me, 'Do you have kids?' And I always say, 'Absolutely not. I am still a child,'" she said.
"I say, ‘I would love, love, love to be a parent. I would love to be a dad. I don’t get that choice. I would have to be a mother. And there’s no way in hell I would ever want to be a mother,'" she said.
She adds, "And watching the initial confusion on their face, and then the awareness, the acknowledgment, you can see the gears turning. It makes sense."
"I don’t want the responsibility of being a mother. I want to be the cool parent. I want to have as little responsibility as possible, and mothers don’t get that," she explained.
The way she phrases it might be a little jarring, but her ultimate reason is sound. Moms rarely get to be the cool parent.
The video's comment section is full of women who are in total agreement with her.
"Never related to anything as much as this," one person said.
"I have two kids and I ALWAYSSSS say in my next life I’m coming back as a Dad!! In fact i was just telling my Gmom this yesterday!" someone wrote.
"Saving this answer for the next time I am asked that. Thanks," another person said.
"I’m 31, my therapist asked me if I ever wanted to have kids. I basically said, 'I would be a really good dad,'" a person wrote.
"As a mom I got it immediately ," someone commented.
