This Mom’s Baseball Game Ice Cream Move Has 5.6M Views & Zero Regrets

Whenever my family goes someplace that has soft serve ice cream, there’s a 99.9% chance that my kid is going to want it. And honestly, I never say no because I love it too. I never buy my own because I know that there’s a very big chance I’m going to have to finish it for him. Places like concert venues and sports areas usually give you a massive serving of ice cream that is practically impossible for most kids to finish. So what’s a mom to do? She had to get creative. A resourceful mom at a baseball game is making headlines after people claim she stole her kid’s ice cream. But parents know that’s not entirely what’s happening.

The scene actually became part of the game.

espnW shared the clip of the resourceful mom as she scooped the contents of her kid’s giant ice cream cone into something more manageable on TikTok..

“Nothing like sharing some ice cream with #mom ❤️” they captioned the video.

“She’s trying to figure out an unmessy way to have an ice cream cone,” the commentator can be heard saying as the mom takes the waffle cone and flips it over into a cup.

Her little one, who doesn’t look much older than maybe eight, is patiently waiting as she balances the ice cream and two spoons.

“I like the effort, but I don’t know mom, it doesn’t look like it’ll end well,” the commentator says while the screen briefly flashes back to the game.

“Mom just robbed him of about half his ice cream — veteran move,” the commentator says as the little boy happily licks his cone. “That was the intent,” the other commentator says.

People knew the resourceful mom made the right call.

“He was definitely not gonna eat that whole thing she completely saved herself a tantrum, and money,” one person wrote.

“You quickly learn not to buy yourself a cone coz a kid will get so far and not want anymore and you get the leftovers which is usually 70% of the ice cream they swore they would finish 😂😂😂,” someone replied.

“If you are a mom, you know he wouldn’t be able to finish this big of ice cream cone!” another person wrote.

“I don’t blame her that 1 ice cream cone was prob like $15,” someone else pointed out.

“That kid would have licked it down to the top of the cone and handed it soggy and dripping to his mom and say…I’m full. It happens every time.”

“It was massive. And melting. Us moms know exactly why she did it. It would’ve dripped everywhere and he couldn’t have finished it.”

A lot of people called out all of those judging.

“Mom doing, mom things. Call the press!!” one person quipped.

One person shared they were “getting weird judgemental tone from the commentator. thought their job was to comment on the game and not someone’s parenting style.”

“Why is this even being recorded?” one person asked. “She’s doing her job and being a good mother.”

“Baseball so boring that we’re watching a mom do mom things 😂” another person joked.

“Is baseball really that boring that this is what we’re watching instead?” someone else asked.

“She was probably doing the right thing, but here we are watching and judging her. Our parents did this to us all the time as kids, we always had to share.”
