Mom Turns Her Baby Into a Real-Life Elf on the Shelf Every Day Until Christmas

Figuring out the cutest and most surprising way to pose your Elf on the Shelf is a holiday challenge, but one mom from Pottsville, Pennsylvania, had a brilliant idea that really takes the cake. Alyssa Eubert has been dressing up her 6-month-old Dylan like the iconic holiday doll and taking photos. She’s posted one per day on her Facebook account since December 1 and won’t stop until Christmas.

Speaking with Good Morning America, the mom, who also has two stepkids, 19-year-old Zoe and 13-year-old Camryn, explained that she started the project with just one photo after she made her son the felt costume, but her imagination was sparked.

Alyssa: 'I started thinking of fun ways to place my elf'

The photos range from Elf Dylan doing a little Black Friday shopping to some snaps of the elves’ naughty tricks.

Luckily, the mom was able to capture a sweet moment of her little guy reading to a rapt stuffed animal audience.

Uh-oh, looks like Elf Dylan had a bit of a sugar crash

But, don’t worry, he kept the good times rollin’

Dylan wasn't afraid to show the other elves who's boss

In the end, the mom tells GMA that she knows these photos will become happy memories for Dylan.

“I have to take as many photos as I can,” she continued.

“I will have these sweet memories forever and maybe a picture for his senior yearbook one day,” she said.
