Dad Said His Son Is the ‘Worst Part of His Life’ and His Wife Isn’t Ok With the Revelation

It's hard to have a spouse who is not an equal and present parent. One woman is realizing that not only is her husband not a present parent, there's a chance he doesn't even like their child. After a conversation with her husband, she was understandably shaken and unsure of what to do, so she turned to Reddit for advice.

She was shaken by his confession

Posting to the subreddit r/breakingmom, described as a space for "moms only," she shared her story.

"Husband said the worst part of his life is our son," she wrote, adding that "he also told our son yesterday that he's ready to ship him off somewhere because he's 'too f—–g much.'"

She revealed that their son is only 3 years old

"I'm not okay," she ended the post.

Naturally, a bunch of other moms were in the comments validating her feelings of not being OK. It would be incredibly upsetting to find out that your husband basically hates his child.

The comments were overwhelmingly supportive

"Listen babe, you need to take those kids and leave while they’re still young. Change their story right tf now, and do not allow that man to completely destroy your son’s sense of self worth. He deserves more," one person said.

"Hopefully your son is too young too ever remember this. And hopefully someone tells him to never say s–t like that again. I’m so sorry. I would be so sad also," another added.

"Get the kids and yourself out of the picture asap. That kind of stuff ruins kids’ lives forever. If you get out quick enough your son might be able to forget all that," a person commented.

The mom also gave more context

Engaging with the comments, she shared that they have another child and "he's very loving to our younger daughter, like a complete 180."

"It seriously breaks my heart thinking that he may already be trying to stifle parts of himself, just so his own father will tolerate him. I refuse to make him live like this," she wrote in response to another comment.

While she did not make it clear that she was planning to leave her husband, she never said she wouldn't leave him. Hopefully, she finds a way forward to support her son.
