How to Stretch Fitted Hats

Step 1

Sit down on a chair or couch with your feet planted on the ground and fit the hat over one kneecap.

Step 2

Insert your hand under the hat so that your four fingers sit inside the hat and your thumb presses against the outside of the hat.

Step 3

Gently pull the hat toward you. Rotate the hat to the side and pull again. Continue rotating and gently pulling in this manner until you’ve circled the entire hat. If you only pull one side, you may end up with a lopsided hat and one odd look.

Step 4

Try on the hat to test the fit. If the hat still fits too snug, continue pulling the hat on your knee until the hat sits perfectly atop your head.
