‘Splitting Upward’ Is the New Divorce Podcast All Single Moms Need To Hear

Let's get real here, motherhood on its own is a slippery slope. When you throw in divorce, things get really interesting. It may feel like figuring out your life is a full-time job. Between co-parenting and dating, you may find yourself wanting to crawl into bed and never leave.

However, it is possible to move onward and upward — and there's an amazing new podcast that's here to help.

If you're in the midst of split — or already on the other side — you have to check out single moms, Julie and Jesenia, and their new podcast, Splitting Upward, on which they speak candidly about their post-divorce experiences. They interview celebrities, experts, and answer listener questions about all the nitty-gritty aspects of being a single mom that you may be too embarassed to ask.

This first episode is a wonderful introduction to what the co-hosts are all about. I felt like I was sitting with girlfriends at the kitchen table, getting to know them better, as Julie told her story including details on her divorce and her co-parenting situation. It's a wonderful reminder we all experience divorce differently and there really is no right way to do this. All that matters is that you're doing what works for you and your family.

As a recently divorced mom of three, I've listened to so many podcasts about dating, divorce, and trying to keep things in line as a single mom, I've lost count. Julie and Jesenia are two women who aren't afraid to be honest about their trials and tribulations. I guarantee listening to them will make you feel validated and give you the boost you need, reminding you how capable you are of starting (or continuing) this single-mom thing.

It is possible to move forward, even on the days it doesn't feel like you can. Don't do it alone, though: Julie and Jesenia have been through it — are still going through it — and they are here to help.
