Step 1
Call your city hall or recycling center for specifics on maximum sizes for cardboard when recycling as each city has different recycling regulations.
Step 2
Remove packing tape, bubble wrap or foam peanuts from the boxes. Disassemble and flatten the packing boxes and all the cardboard you plan to recycle. You can cut the boxes if they are large or do not lay flat. Cut each side of the boxes separately to make for easier stacking.
Step 3
Organize and stack similar pieces of cardboard, tying them together to secure them.
Step 4
Deliver the cardboard to a recycling center or placing it in a recycling bin if your area has curbside pickup.
