How to Clean Cloth Patio Furniture

Step 1

Fill a bucket with warm water and two tsp. mild liquid dish soap. Dip a small sponge into the soapy water and wring out the excess liquid.

Step 2

Wipe dust and dirt from the cloth on the furniture. Dip the sponge as needed into the soapy water and continue wiping down the patio furniture.

Step 3

Spray a laundry stain remover on hard-to-remove stains on the cloth. Allow the stain remover to sit on the area for 15 to 20 minutes before scrubbing.

Step 4

Scrub the stains with a nylon scrubber. Wipe the stains from the cloth with a wet sponge.

Step 5

Dispose of the soapy water and fill the bucket with clean, cool water. Rinse soap residue from the sponge under running water.

Step 6

Rinse the cloth furniture with the sponge and clean water. Remove all the soap suds from the furniture.

Step 7

Place the furniture in the sun after rinsing to speed up the drying time.
