Step 1
Remove the cushions from the furniture, if applicable, and rinse the patio furniture with your garden hose as needed to remove loose dust and residue.
Step 2
Mix 1 gallon water with about 2 tbsp. laundry detergent in a cleaning bucket.
Step 3
Dip a cleaning rag or a nylon scrub brush into the soapy water and scrub over the furniture. Use the nylon scrub brush for heavier residue.
Step 4
Rinse the furniture with your garden hose when finished and dry with a clean rag to prevent water spots.
Step 5
Dip the nylon brush into the soapy water and scrub over cushions. This allows you to clean the cushions without over-saturating the padding. Flip the cushions over and repeat on the opposite side.
Step 6
Wipe down the cushions with a damp cloth to remove soap and lifted residue. Sit the cushions in the sun to air dry.
Step 7
Store your cushions indoors during cold winter months and bad weather. When possible, place the rest of the furniture under an awning or in a garage or shed during seasons the furniture is not in use.
