Apple ‘Doughnuts’

These are NOT your typical doughnuts.

These easy, delicious and totally unique "doughnuts" are not made from dough at all!

That's right! Apples (any kind!) are thickly sliced, dipped in batter and quickly fried.

I drizzled them with a quick two-ingredient icing, but feel free to dunk them in some cinnamon-sugar instead or shower them with powdered sugar. Just be sure to serve them up immediately (which I promise will NOT be a problem)!

Even better, these are easily made gluten-free! Simply substitute the flour with your favorite gluten-free flour blend. The results are just as delicious!
