Hi everyone,
Thanks for joining us on mom.me. We've been around for less than two months, and in that time millions of moms have stopped by for a visit and many of you have stayed for a chat. We're thrilled to have you here.
We've also noticed in our community forum that you're incredibly supportive and kind to to other moms—even complete strangers.
Which is a big reason why we're here. We can't imagine being a mom without the Internet—Facebook, blogs, twitter, online communities like the funny, warm group of women on mom.me. How else would we find out if it's normal that our 6-year-old is still having meltdowns, or whether we're going to ruin our kids if we let them play video games? Or how other moms coped when their last kid went off to college?
Sure, you might have a few friends to help you workshop this stuff. But where are they at 1 a.m.? Many moms say they feel more isolated than ever. I know I've felt like that at times—my own parents are on the other side of the world. But with the support and humor of this amazing sisterhood of moms online, we can all feel that we're not alone.
That brings me to the reason for this post. Mom.me has teamed up with a group of wonderful mom bloggers for what's known as a blogging carnival. You may know some of them. You'll see them here on mom.me. You'll see us mentioned on their sites, and we're all going to be talking about the same topic: How the online world has helped us as moms.
