Helpful Teens Do Exist

It's the kind of thing you see on the street that makes you stop and smile: a young person carrying the grocery bags of a senior citizen while escorting the former across the road.

Many hope to raise their kids this way and, let's face it, many don't succeed.

But for the parents of Christian Trouesdale, 18, an Aldi employee in Greater Manchester, England, the boy was reared just right. Someone snapped a photo of the lad lending a hand to an elderly man, carrying his shopping bag and holding his hand as they walked to the pensioner's home, as reported by ITV News.

The act of kindness was caught on camera by Samantha-Jayne Brady, who posted the picture on social media. It already has more than 40,000 likes on Facebook.

She also wrote a message with the post urging people to spread the selflessness that Christian showed:

"Need to share this, whilst working earlier we watched this lovely lad walking this little old man home. He wasn't very agile, nor fast but Christian walked with him ever so patiently and slowly, chatting along with him and carried his bag for him. It was a lovely thing to witness and they seemed to be having a good chit-chat along their way. High 5 to Aldi for letting him do this and high 5 to Christian from Aldi in Horwich for his selfless, thoughtful & caring gesture! I desperately want this lad to get some kind of recognition from his workplace so if this gave you a little more faith in mankind PLEASE share! Good people still exist."

So a big kudos goes out to Christian from Aldi, who is helping people realize that there is still good out there in the world and people who care about others, even if they're complete strangers. Yay Christian!
