In just a few short days, we're getting set to have one of the most important elections of our lifetime. Right in the middle of a global health crisis that adds barriers to the process, and we're all just doing the best we can. However, before the election happens, taking up a lot of our focus, we still have Halloween to think about. This year, it will be different, with many parents forgoing trick-or-treating to keep distance due to the health crisis.
Even if families aren't going out on Halloween, dressing up in costumes is still an option. After all, getting dressed up is the best part of the holiday, and there are a million-and-one different costume ideas.
This year, kids can mash together the two important events that are happening within just a few days of each other. If anyone has a child who wants to dress up for Halloween, inspired by politics and the election, we've rounded up some of our favorite finds around the internet.
Donald Trump and Joe Biden
In honor of the upcoming election, this sibling couple took on the now-infamous debate that happened between President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Joe Biden. They've got the hair, the pose, and the accessories down for both of them, and we are dying because it's just too good.

Instead of dressing up as the president himself, this went a different direction. This young boy dressed up as one thing that makes so many people talk about Donald Trump — his interesting choice of hair. It looks like they bundled some hay up in the shape of his interesting coif and popped his signature hat on top of it. Hilarious.

An 11-year-old girl dressed up as historic Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris. She grabbed one of her mom's blue blazers, a string of pearls, heels, and leggings and put on her best performance of the powerhouse Senator.
Baby Obama
A little one took on the challenge of dressing up as former President Barack Obama with an adorable twist. Part of the costume is the podium where the president would give his iconic speeches, and it even comes complete with the flags, the microphone, and the White House emblem affixed on the stroller.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg

This young lady is the spitting image of late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, aka RBG. She has everything iconic that we think about when we think about this powerful woman. From the thick glasses to the lace ruffles around the collar of her gown. And of course, she's holding on to the book I Dissent: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Makes Her Mark to really get her point across.
Mini Michelle Obama
A beautiful young lady dressed up as the iconic and inspirational former First Lady Michelle Obama. She's got that incredible look that is the perfect balance between beauty and power. From the classic black dress to the understated pearl necklace, she really nails Michelle Obama's elegance.
Bernie Sanders Never Gets Old
It doesn't require a whole lot to rock an incredible Bernie Sanders Halloween costume, and this little baby has nailed exactly what's needed. To dress as the United States Senator, there's a balding white cap of hair that's easy to do when a bald baby has yet to sprout much hair. Pop on some glasses, and it's a total winner of a costume.
Little Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
For Halloween, this woman's niece dressed up as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), the U.S. Representative for New York's 14th congressional district. The young girl is wearing the glasses we've come to know from AOC and, of course, she has those signature hoop earrings on as well.
Pint-Size Maxine Waters
Maxine Waters, the U.S. Representative for California’s 43rd congressional district, is another inspirational powerhouse woman for our kids to look up to, and she was the inspiration behind one kid’s Halloween costume. The hair, glasses, and outfit are amazing — but it’s the note on her pumpkin that gives a big giggle.
Pantsuit Nation
Another little girl chose to dress up as Hillary Clinton, and even had her photo taken with her. She's got the signature blue pantsuit solidifying whom she's dressed up as and has perfected the wave to the crowd.
Donald + Melania Trump
For Halloween a couple of years ago, this family dressed their two kids as the President of the United States and First Lady Melania Trump. Many of the details have been hit in this costume, from Donald's tan to the First Lady's hair. And her pearls are spot-on.
Baby Bernie, Donald & Hillary
This family had the most fun with their triplet babies for one Halloween. Since there are three of them, they don't have to choose a political side to feature in a kids' costume — they used them all. Here, their three babies are dressed as a mini Bernie Sanders, little Donald Trump, and a tiny Hillary Clinton.

Each year (usually), the White House hosts a Halloween party for kids dressed up in costumes. The President and First Lady hand candy out. This year, when President Obama and Michelle Obama lived in the White House, a little boy showed up dressed as the president, gray hair and all.
Baby Trump
This little boy is dressed up as Donald Trump — and all the details are there: the hair coif, the blue blazer, and the Trump button placed on the lapel. Not to mention his smile and wave. Nailed it.
Rand Paul

The junior U.S. Senator for Kentucky can be a good Halloween costume for kids, especially for anyone who lives in the state. This little boy nailed the costume and looks just like Senator Rand Paul, from his curly hair to his suit to the sticker on his jacket.

Dressing up as Hillary Clinton is not only for girls — and this young man proves that. He's got the entire look down, from the bright, colorful pantsuit to the power hair to the ballot box. This young boy has figured out how to do the politician's classic wave on top of everything else.
RBG
Another young lady channels her inner RBG with this costume from 2017. She has everything she needs to complete this Halloween outfit: the robe, the gavel, even her “I mean business” earrings. While RBG isn’t with us anymore, her spirit and work will leave a lasting impression on generations to come.

The dynamic duo of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez found each other at a school Halloween ball, according to Sex and the City's Cynthia Nixon, whose son dressed up as Bernie. It's easy to tell who each kid is dressed up as in both costumes, and every detail has been nailed.
