You can add fresh style to your child's room with nothing else but a can of paint, or you can wallpaper the space. I personally love the way wallpaper looks in the home. It can change the visual appearance of your room in so many ways, and can definitely brighten up and add character to any dull or dreary room.

Is it hard for you to find that perfect rug? There are endless rugs out there but finding what is right for your child's space can be difficult. Here are a few tips for finding the perfect one:

  • Get something cute in a pattern that will grow with them
  • Measure the space before you go shopping so you don't get something that's too small or big for the room
  • Choose a rug type based on how your child is going to use it (i.e., if they are going to play on it, be sure to get a rug pad)

Shop the rug: Little Fashion Gallery, $326

Make a fun focal point in your child's room by creating a DIY clothing rack. It's the perfect display for your child's favorite clothes, but it's also convenient for changing her clothes as well. You can create a similar look to this clothing rack by selecting a sturdy tree branch and painting it white. Hang it and voilà … you're all set!
