Meghan Markle is a woman who people have many, many, MANY opinions about. Is she the best thing that ever happened to Prince Harry? Is she a spoiled actress who forced her husband to give up his family? Is she a victim of bullies or a bully herself? The truth is probably complicated, but judging by how Harry writes about Meghan in his best-selling memoir, Spare, it seems like he is pretty darn grateful for her. That said, it's interesting to note that there is never any speculation about who she is as a mom.
Meghan and Harry tend to keep their kids pretty protected and don't share a lot of images of them. However, from what we can see and how Meghan has talked about her experiences of motherhood so far, it seems clear to us that she absolutely loves life with son Archie, now 3, and daughter Lilibet, 1.
One of the interesting things about looking at pictures of Meghan and her kids is that we do get to see that she is both totally relatable as a mom (she is obsessed with tiny baby toes) and also already having parenting experiences that the rest of us could only dream about. We collected 15 of our favorite Meghan Markle mom moments, ranging from the super adorable to the not-at-all relatable.
Harry's Cheering Squad

In July 2019, little Archie Mountbatten-Windsor made his first public appearance when he and mom Meghan came out to cheer for dad Harry at a charity polo match. Even though Archie was only 2 months old, Meghan seemed like an old pro at figuring out how to take a baby out into the world, though she certainly looked more pulled together than most of us probably did at that stage of newborn parenting.
All Smiles With Archie

When Harry and Meghan did their 2019 tour to several countries in Africa, it was basically a royal version of Take Your Child to Work Day. We got some great pictures of Meghan and Archie, including this one that shows one wiggly little guy and a mom who is all smiles as she got a chance to show him off a bit.
First Christmas Magic
There is nothing quite like the magic of the holiday season once someone becomes a mom. We love this cute holiday card from Harry and Meghan in 2019, which was Archie's first Christmas. The look on Meghan's face makes it clear that she was feeling all that new mom holiday joy!
A Happy Family
The cutest part of this picture might be little Archie's adorable ginger curls, but truthfully we're here for all of it! This relaxed family photo — which was used for Harry and Meghan's 2021 holiday card — really shows how happy the Sussex duo is to have created their sweet little family.
Sweet Relief

Is this picture of the royal family following Archie's 2019 baptism a reflection of a historical moment or a snapshot of an adorable and relieved mom who just made it through an important public function without her baby blowing out his diaper in an heirloom gown? Why not both?
Happy & Free

One of the reasons why Netflix's Harry & Meghan docuseries has been so popular is because viewers get to see new glimpses into the royal couple's life as a family of four. We love this picture because it represents how happy and free Meghan is in her experience of motherhood now that she and Harry have found peace in California.
Moms Love All Kids
One of the things that can happen when we become a mom is that we realize that if we want to make the world a better place for our babies, we need to make the world better for all kids. We love Meghan's joy in this picture, as much as we admire her charitable efforts for good causes around the world.
The Big Debut

One of the biggest moments for a new royal baby is when they make their world debut, and we were all so excited to see Harry and Meghan's bundle of joy for the first time. Meghan had that new-mom glow and was already doting on little Archie in this shot from 2019, all while having the bravery to be photographed in a white dress just days after giving birth. All hail the stretchy underwear and monster pads for making this moment happen!
Every Mom Does It

It doesn't matter how famous a mom might be, there are some things we all do. We've got to sniff those sweet-smelling baby heads. We yearn for our little ones to fall asleep so we can get some rest and then we stay up just to watch them sleep. And none of us — including Meghan, it seems — can resist capturing pictures of tiny baby feet!
Sweet Kisses

There is nothing quite like getting a big smooch from a sweet baby. Sure, it can be awfully slobbery, but there is nothing like the joy of getting all that love from a baby fresh from their nap. Based on this picture, we suspect that Meghan knows exactly what we're talking about!
Tub Time

Yes, we know that this is supposed to be a story about Meghan's most adorable mom moments, but we can't deny that Archie is the star of the show here. Look at that sweet face! Meghan and Harry both look so in awe of their boy.
Meeting an Inspiration

It isn't every day that someone, even royalty, gets the chance to watch your baby get blessed with a kiss from a Nobel prize winner. Meghan looked so happy to introduce Archie to famous anti-apartheid activist Archbishop Desmond Tutu in 2019, and it looked like the feeling was quite mutual.
The Tiny Jersey
Meghan was tickled by a sweet surprise gift for Archie in 2019. The New York Yankees played a game in London and had a custom jersey made just for Archie, who was 7 weeks old at the time. What mom can resist the siren song of tiny adorable baby clothing?
A Relaxed Party Mom
The Sussexes may be one of the most famous families in the world at the moment, but we love that they went for a casual and more low-key vibe for Lilibet's first birthday party. These cute pictures from the event show that Meghan went for a very anti-Kardashian party experience. No over-the-top theme — just face painting, cake, and plenty of adorable mom moments.
A Growing Glow
Meghan was rocking some major earth mama, casually happy, super-in-love vibes in this picture, which was used to announce her pregnancy with Lilibet. And knowing that this was a pregnancy after loss (Meghan suffered a miscarriage in 2020) makes the moment when the Sussexes felt comfortable telling the world their happy news even sweeter.
