Now that the month of June is in full swing, many people are taking the opportunity to celebrate Pride. It's not unusual to see parents with their kids at Pride events, so why is this Teen Mom star getting so much hate for it? Bigots have flooded Leah Messer's Instagram comments after she shared a post from taking her girls to march in a Pride parade.

Leah shared a video of her and her daughters marching in a Pride parade
In the video, we can see Leah's daughters, Ali and Addie, riding in a car decked out with rainbows, while she and her other daughter, Aleeah, are marching behind it, waving rainbow flags.
"Happy Pride!! Be whoever you want! Love whoever you want!!" she wrote in her caption.
The comments section got pretty nasty

This brought out a lot of hateful comments from people who didn't believe that Leah or her daughters should have participated in the event.
"Disgusting to subject your children to this," one person wrote.
Another commenter added, "I think they should be living with their fathers."
Leah was also accused of "grooming" and "indoctrinating" her children
"Terrible parenting … indoctrination of children should be a crime. A person's sexuality should not be impressed upon children EVER! BE WHO YOU ARE BUT LEAVE CHILDREN OUT OF IT!" one commenter wrote.
Taking children to Pride parades can be a great way to teach how important it is to love and accept all people — not to mention a way of showing them that, as their parent, you will always support them for who they are. But the comments section here seems to have missed the memo.

So far, Leah hasn't responded to the haters.
But considering the fact that people who leave comments like this on people's Instagram posts are usually looking for attention, that might be for the best.
If only everyone could love everyone!
Leah seems to be doing a great job raising her girls
It's been a long time since we first met her on MTV, when she was becoming a mom at the age of 16 for the very first time. It's hard to believe that Ali and Aleeah are already teenagers themselves!
We hope she's not letting the haters get to her. She's doing great!
