Taking silly selfies with your kids is one of the most Millennial traits. We love a selfie moment, especially where we can make ridiculous faces and get our kids in on it. And there are no better age groups than toddlers and preschoolers for taking a silly selfie. Kelly Osbourne recently received backlash for a silly picture she shared of her and her preschooler. The picture reignited an old conversation about what is “appropriate” or “inappropriate” behavior with your young kids, with people having a full meltdown about it in the comments.
It looks like Kelly and her son had a fun day together.
In her post, which was shared on April 2, 2026, Kelly Osbourne shared pictures of her and her three-year-old son Sidney as they had an adventure at a farm.
Sidney smiled and posed with the Easter bunny and dancing bees, and got to feed goats during his time at the farm. And Osbourne shared lots of selfies with her baby boy. While most of the pictures are sweet, smiling snaps, the last picture has people up in arms.
In the picture, Osbourne and Sidney are sticking out their tongues, and their tongues are touching.
People really had a problem with it.
One person wrote “loved these until the tongue on tongue pic? who does that with their child? weird.”

Others defended her right to post and do whatever she wants with her son.
“I love your last pic. One of boys did this all the time. Anyone judging or even wasting time out of their sad miserable lives to make a crappy comment on this need to look inwards tbh,” one person wrote.

A woman on TikTok who goes by the handle @ ClassyRedneckLady made a whole video ranting about Kelly Osbourne and her choice to share that picture.
“This is completely inappropriate — crossing every kind of boundary that you could cross from a mom and a son,” the woman said. “I don’t understand why your son looks so sad.”
“That is crossing the boundary of human to human,” she continued. “I know that Kelly has now broken up with her fiance. I know that her passed, and she’s going through some mental issues. Don’t bring your son into it too.”
“This needs to stop. It isn’t cute.”
