Keke Palmer Makes It Clear She Doesn’t Need a Man After Drama With Boyfriend

Keke Palmer isn’t letting baby daddy drama stop her from securing the bag. Keke performed at Broccoli City Festival over the weekend in Washington, DC, at RFK Stadium. She was a special guest performer, and fans seem to think her set was a diss at her boyfriend Darius Jackson.

Keke and Jackson’s relationship has been internet fodder since earlier this month when Jackson took to social media to shame Keke for an outfit she chose to wear to the Usher residency in Las Vegas.

Now, weeks later, Keke seems to be taking to her music to let people know how she feels about the whole situation.

“Lil’ booties matter, my son gave me some ass/ I’m my own boss and I got my own cash/ I don’t need a [expletive], only thing I need’s a bag,” she rapped during her song “Bossy,” ET Online reported.

Keke gave birth to her and Jackson’s son, Leodis, back in February. Earlier this month, she attended one of Usher’s Las Vegas shows wearing a sheer black outfit. And apparently, Jackson had some issues with the outfit, but instead of talking to Keke directly, he took to Twitter to voice his concerns.

“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” he wrote. He added that her outfit went against his “standards and morals.”

After his comments, Jackson scrubbed all photos of him and Keke from his Instagram account.

It doesn’t seem that Keke is letting the drama get in her way though.

“One thing is certain and one thing is true, IM A MOTHA, through and through!” she captioned an Instagram post of her and her baby boy right after Jackson shared his comments.

“After having my baby, I’ve gotten so much more powerful,” she told The Cut after the drama. “I’m just so strengthened in a crazy way. Strutting my stuff, enjoying.”

We’re glad to see she’s still living her best life!
