Keke Palmer Welcomes a Baby Boy & Reveals His Powerful Name

And then there were three. Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson have welcomed their new baby boy. The Nope star shared the happy news with her Instagram followers on Monday, revealing her little boy’s face for the first time as well as his symbolic name.

Keke celebrated her and Darius' first two days as parents in her post

The excited new mom shared a selfie of herself and her partner as they sat in the car. The two looked tired but over the moon about their change in status. “Only 48 hours of being parents,” Keke began her long caption, before praising Darius and addressing her family’s new addition.

They spent their first few days together listening to music

Keke went on to explain that she and Darius had spent some time celebrating the same way they did in the early days of their relationship. “Darius always made me playlists when we first started dating. ‘Someone’ by El DeBarge was a favorite,” she continued. “We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look at God!”

The new mom gushed over her baby boy

While some famous parents opt to keep their children out of the spotlight, Keke joked that she couldn’t help but show off her newborn son. “‘I’m not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world.’ Hahaha,” she wrote, before quickly adding that she was “just playing” and that her baby’s face was on this slide… and this slide… and so on.

In fact, Keke shared plenty of pictures of her new squish.

In addition to showing off her baby's sweet face, she also officially introduced him

“Born during Black History Month, with a name to match,” she shared. “Leodis Andrelton Jackson, welcome to the world, baby Leo.”

Friends and fans alike took to the comments section to shower Keke with love and warm wishes. “Oh my god, the perfection,” wrote writer-director Amy Aniobi. “Congratulations, mom and dad!!”

We're wishing the new mama lots of luck with her baby boy

Those first few days home with a newborn can be a lot for new parents, but based on Keke’s post, she and Darius seem to be approaching the situation with humility and humor. Here’s hoping they are getting plenty of bonding time right now. We imagine they’re absolutely thrilled that their long-awaited little boy is finally here.
