What to Know
The conversation about how many kids to have can be loaded. While some couples are on the same page about how many kids they want, others may have vastly different numbers in their heads. For the person carrying and birthing children, it’s ideal to have a partner on the same page. Recently social media food critic Keith Lee made waves on social media for admitting that he’s following his wife’s lead on how many kids they will have. While most of the comments praised Lee for respecting his wife’s bodily autonomy and understanding the toll of pregnancy, some people didn’t get it.
Men are crashing out about Lee’s words, and it’s weird.
Keith Lee tells Keke Palmer how important respect in his marriage is, explaining that he’ll only have more kids if his wife wants to because she’s the one who carries them 👀

Someone shared a clip of Lee talking to Keke Palmer about parenthood on X. In the clip, Lee says that he’s in the “trenches” of parenting, with three kids under five, and his youngest being an infant. Palmer asked if the couple were planning on having more kids.
Right now, he says his wife keeps going “back and forth” on the subject.
“My number one rule is that I’m done when she’s done,” Lee admitted. “If she want 30 of them, we gonna have 30 of them. If she’s done at three, we’re done at three. I’m not the one carrying them, that’s not my body going through the before, after effects.”
“People who don’t have kids don’t understand how real postpartum is and I feel like it would be selfish of me to be like ‘oh, I want more kids so we gotta have more kids.’ So whenever she’s ready to have more, we’re gonna have more,” he continued.
Some men on X immediately lost their minds, calling him “pandering,” a “simp,” and a host of other unkind words.
Other men couldn’t understand why they were calling Keith Lee out for his stance.
You would think this is common sense BUT of course; the boys really hate women & are incredibly selfish & ignorant.

“Ladies i did not know men were this weird, the comment section eye opening for me as a man. I think what keith is saying is bare minimum,” one man wrote.
“I don’t get how y’all can hear this man understand the toll pregnancy takes on a woman and think that he’s a simp or a bi—h for respecting that, lol,” someone else wrote.
Another man wrote, “I literally got a vasectomy bc my wife said she was done. If she’s done, I’m done!!!!! End of story. Don’t see why this is a controversial take.”
“i been saying this, word he talking .. I’m fine with however many my future wife wants because she’s the one having them 🤷🏿♂️.”
“Any man with knowledge of the dangers that women particularly black women face in childbirth would never have an issue with anything being said. Pregnancy can literally be a life or death situation and can alter a woman’s body and mind permanently. It’s her decision always,” someone else wrote.
Women praised Lee for being a good partner to his wife.
One commenter also called out the angry men, writing “This isn’t what most married people do? It’s called family planning. This is exactly what my husband and I did. These comments by some of y’all men are odd. Discipline is key.”
The clip made its way over to the FauxMoi sub-Reddit, where people also praised Lee’s commitment.
“I’m glad he’s aware and letting his partner take the lead. It’s how it should be,” one person wrote.
“I appreciate how educated. Yes, it’s the bare minimum but most men have the opposite mentality,” another commenter wrote. Maybe they read the X thread.
Another commenter wrote “Is this the opinion all men with partners capable of getting pregnant should hold? Yes. But considering how many f—ing toxic piece of s–t male influencers are out there on Social Media… I will take ANY man with a normal positive healthy view of the world modeling masculinity for other young men. These are the role models they need.”
