"Maxwell is probably going as Santa because she thinks the end of September is when everyone around the world should be gettin' into the spirit!" Simpson shared when asked about her kids' Halloween plans.
Simpson shared that "My family is all about the seasons." She said that despite it only being October, "Maxwell is already in Christmas mode!"
"She has been playing Christmas music on the way to school, already got a little Christmas tree for her room, and is spraying pine scent all over our house," Simpson added.
"I was telling her she skipped over a few big ones, but I can't fault her too much, I love Christmas time and being festive, so I guess the apple (or ornament in this case) didn't fall too far from the tree," Simpson quipped.
Simpson shared that when it comes to Halloween, her youngest, daughter Birdie, has her dad, Eric Johnson, wrapped around her finger.
"Birdie has been asking Eric to be what she wants him to be, and he abides by her rules — last year I came home from set and Eric had hot pink hair and was a troll — only for Birdie!" she said. "This year he could possibly be a merman because of The Little Mermaid, but we shall see if he wears a fin that is made for a 6'3" man."
"Ace and I are very chill about playing dress up," she revealed. "We are very competitive when it comes to how much candy we can accumulate in a couple of hours." Sounds yummy!
