Isabella Strahan Celebrates 19th Birthday Six Months Late After Emergency Surgery

Isabella Strahan is celebrating her 19th birthday late, and that's OK! The teen, who is one of Good Morning America host Michael Strahan's twin daughters, has been battling medulloblastoma, which is a malignant tumor in her cerebellum. Because of her emergency surgery, she missed celebrating her actual birthday.

Isabella shared the birthday celebration on her vlog, which she started after being diagnosed with cancer. In the video, she is at home in New York resting from her third round of chemotherapy alongside her twin Sophia and friend Dallas. She also baked cupcakes for the festivities.

"We’re doing a little birthday celebration because I was not conscious for my 19th birthday," Isabella explains with a laugh. "So we’re doing a little birthday thing about six months later."

The twins' birthday is actually on October 28, but at the time, Isabella was hospitalized because of an emergency craniotomy.

The girls sang "Happy Birthday" to themselves, blowing out the candles on their cupcakes before dad Michael Strahan comes over to give them a hug.

The video also includes footage from their actual 19th birthday when Isabella was in the hospital.

Back in January, Isabella shared her hospital birthday in her first vlog. In the clip, the teen's family can be seen in her hospital room, decorating the space with balloons, birthday signs, and flowers. While she laid in bed unconscious, they sang "Happy Birthday" to her. Isabella has opened up about not remembering much about her time in the hospital and needing to be told by family and friends.

"It’s super sweet to see how much people care, and I think that was a big thing [for my recovery]," she said.
